timing of the photo sharing was perfect.... if it had been right after the event, people would have talked a lot about this and it would have been the talk of the day... instead, by waiting, he didn't detract attention from all the athletes who were at the gala and won medals.

as far as sharing the photo... erm... ok... i have no idea why it's wrong... i shared pictured of my scars too hahaha... it's something friends (in my case) and fans (in Patrck's case) are interested about... it has nothing to do with other skaters...

I apologize. I don't mean to bring drama to this thread. In my opinion it was just uncalled for posted a month or so after the fact. Particularly because Patrick is often judged harshly for his words I wondered why he would do something that could understandably cause more misunderstanding. I don't necessarily think his intention was to blame Yuzuru but seemed more of a somewhat immature attempt to gain attention (just my opinion again). And for an athlete who is as talented and respected for his skills as Patrick is I find this to be quite unnecessary. All he needs is to take the ice for all eyes to be fixated upon him.

I love both Patrick and Yuzu. They will be up there with the all time greats. As encouraging as this had to be for Patrick, this wasn't Patrick beating Yuzu but Yuzu beating Yuzu. I would have hated to be a judge if they were both clean. Men's just got a lot more interesting.

They redeemed themselves from Sochi. This will surely push each other to be better and that's a delight for us skating fans. They had great comebacks from the SP, but I'm sure they both noticed things they can improve on, so I'm hoping this to become even more exciting at the GPF.

I think you are assuming that there was a slight against Yuzu and I don't think there was besides - read these posts - people are really mean to Chan, almost evil. One thing is to be a fan of Hanyu or whatever but the negativity towards Mirai, Chan and Radford and Duhamel for example is utterly embarrassing while the staunch support for Mao, Brown,Hanyu, Caro and Yuna a bit over the top sometimes. One thing is to say great things about your fave skater but to slam others is a too much. Bravo to both skaters at Skate Canada. I think it was fairly judged the freeskate and it says one thing Hanyu is going to kill everyone with his TES if he skates clean Patrick needs to figure something out he still lost tes But fair enough finally I saw the pcs that I thought might be deserved Still Hanyu is such a nice guy and great difficulty. Sorry Dennis, Brown, Javier - these two are the class of the field imho.

Yuzu singled the toe at the end of his 3axel combo and ended up with negative GOE on that element. Just getting the GOEs he usually gets for his 3axels will break 100+

I somewhat remember that Worlds skate. It was indeed clean, but quite sloppy on the landings, no? Still, was good to see him skate with no major errors for once, and he was really fighting for it.

Congratulations to Yuzu and Patrick for a job well done. It will be interesting to see them as the season progresses, and I hope Yuzu can also solve his 3Lz woes.

I admit, I thought he would win before the SP happened but I'm thankful that he fought back in the free. He's in better condition now than he was during his first GP last season and I'm confident in his ability to continue to do well in the following competitions. Personally, his pair of programs are my favorite of his ever so I'm hoping we get to see it at/near full potential.

Also, another congratulations for Patrick on a successful comeback! I'm sorry I doubted that he could win , and I hope to see him continue skating well and clean. He's definitely in a league of his own when he's on, and if we see more of what he's put out this comp I'm sure the rest of the season will be very interesting.
