Trialeti Trophy Senior Ladies SP: Results; Protocols
No video uploaded yet
Liza finished 12th out of 25 in the SP, with a score of 51.22.
Unfortunately I was not able to watch the Trialeti Trophy, as I was concentrating on the Junior Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi.
Looking at the Protocols, there were issues with three elements, but they only tell us what the issue was for two of them. The opening element, the Triple Lutz, was under-rotated. It got the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -1.89. It also got -5 from Judge 5; and -4 from the remaining six Judges.
I don't know what happened the second element, the Double Axel, but it got the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.66. In terms of Judges marks, it got two -3's; three -2's; and two -1's.
The fourth element was the Triple Flip-Double Toe, and the first part didn't have a clear edge. It got the third biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.53. But because it had by far the highest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the highest scoring element of the programme. It got -2 from Judge 6; and -1 from the remaining six Judges.
For the remaining elements, the GOE ranged from +0.30 for the fifth element, the Change Foot Combination Spin, to 0.52 for the sixth element, the Flying Camel Spin. Apart from a 0 from Judge 2 for the aforementioned Flying Camel Spin, and two +3's from Judge 4 for the final two elements, all of the Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE were +1 or +2.
I should add, Liza had a higher Programme Components Score than the five skaters directly ahead of her, as well as the skater directly behind her. This is probably a sign that she could have been a lot higher, but for those mistakes.
Liza is currently 0.16 points behind 11th position, Olivia LISKO (FIN), and 0.47 points ahead of 13th position, Stefania YAKOVLEVA (CYP). All three of them are part of a group of 13 skaters covered by 9.52 points, stretching from Iida KARHUNEN (FIN) in 7th position, 5.51 points ahead of Liza, down to Nargiz SUELEYMANOVA (AZE) in 19th position, 4.01 points behind Liza.
My kids went back-to-back in the Short Programme, and now they are going to go back-to-back again in the Free Skate!
In a group this big, anything can happen. If she has a good Free Skate, Liza could potentially make it well into the Top 10. If she doesn't, she potentially could slip down to the bottom of the teens.
So, we need her to have a good Free Skate!
WELL DONE LIZA!!!
The Senior Ladies FS is due to start at 13:30:00 GET (09:30:00 GMT / 10:30:00 BST / 12:30:00 EEST / 12:30:00 MSK / 13:30:00 GST). So 5 hours from now.
Liza will be the 14th skater to start. So, fourth and penultimate skater to go in Group 3 (and fourth skater to go after the first resurfacing).
