Estonia’s Elina Goidina is entering her final junior season with plenty of ambition and some big goals.
The 16-year-old spent the offseason preparing for another step forward. She trains in Courmayeur, Italy, with Benoît Richaud and also works remotely with Alexei Mishin.
She has also worked with ice dance coach Maxim Staviski on her footwork.
Despite the ambitious plans, Goidina is keeping her focus simple:
“I just want to skate clean programs and do everything that I can do in practice. Then whatever happens, happens.”
It will be interesting to see how much Goidina can build on her first two junior seasons as she enters her final year in the category.
