November 3rd I had with my team to introduce to you our new show "Snow King 2" and celebrating on the ice my birthday with all the spectators. But there was a tragedy, and we, along with the rest of Russia, mourn the deceased. Hoping for your understanding and support, we have taken the decision to cancel the premiere on 3rd November.

The next show will take place by schedule. Tickets for November 3rd will be valid for the show on November 4th at 18:00 - we will do our best to provide you seats with a corresponding category. well I wanted to post right after the show yesterday (but got distracted reading articles about the SPECTRE premiere )

well my fears about not being able to find a sit yesterday with my ticket to the cancelled 3 Nov show were unfounded & I was given almost the same # seat as in my original ticket (14, the actual was 9) + I sat 8 rows closer to the ice than printed in my ticket (10th instead of the planned 19th)! So Yana's promise on Insta was fulfilled. Actually there were more vacant seats in the arena & I was surprised in a way b/c I thought it would be fully packed (well it WAS almost so no worries there)

Anyway I'd mention some negatives first to get them out of the way though it was just a few (& just for me so probabaly some other person wouldnt have been bothered)))
First the gal announcer at the beginning & after the break. Maybe it was for the kiddies but she was so annoying, OTT voice & not funny & simplistic intro (she was like shrieking 'Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy lets scream who drank more of the sweet lemonaaaaade'). Again maybe I'm just an old spinster:hopelessness: really I almost screamed at her 'go away & let us see the King' ))))))))
Also the climax of the show (where Gerda supposed to heal/win over the King with her rose was anticlimatic) I expected something more bombastic & colourful
There could have been more snow falling effects. That was pretty cool but was used only once.
The plot was simple but its a not a drawback. Its not suposed to be an Oscar flim or anything
No Johnny :sad4: weird was to see an intro from the 1st part with him & then new Kai skates along & its Nikita M instead (regular ppl probs didnt notice but I did)

oher than that I found it pretty entertaining (ppl who saw the 1st part wrote that 80% was a reuse of SK1 but as I havent seen the 1st so cant comment)
Liked the music. Some very catchy tunes. Bilan wasnt anywhere to be seen yay! Only the video of the song was played at the end & went along with introduction of the participants (funny moment when the announcer was listing all the titles of the champions it took quite some time & became comical)))))
Brian is another story. Hot as usual (& shirtless)! Though I was disapointed that in some scenes he & Tomas were in helmets so only at the end I learned that the 2 knights of the King were played by them as well.
The acrobatic parts were impressive (again I dont know how much of it was from the 1st show but for me it was all new so I was impressed) Especially the guy from Canada who skated on somewhat crooked legs. In a way I can call it a circus show as much as an ice show.
And the highlight was-obviously the celebration at the end. We were given out flags with 'Happy Birthday, King - 33' & the moment felt really special (especially for me b/c I'm the same age with Zhenya haha)
& then when Mishin skated forward with a painting he presented the Bday boy as a special guest I was absolutely extatic:gclap:

all in all a great experience (I hope the 2 Japanese gals who sat behind me enjoyed it too)))
I realised I missed seeing FS live
Hopefully 'Carmen' will be performed here too so I can go see it as well.

Thank you for the review, Sugarpova...glad you mostly enjoyed it. I think the little girl narrator would probably annoy me too...but I guess they probably want to appeal to the very young members of the audience who might not understand all of the story.

I think Johnny will be in the Moscow shows, but he wasn't available right now as he is commentating for NBC for the Grand Prix.

Maybe you missed it, but Plushy had shared a short clip of himself with Brian & Tomas doing a stepsequence in unison, and that they were his two knights.

@adelia - That was the one Papa Mishin was given on his American trip this summer, was it not? It would be so very cool if it were that one, I think! Did we ever find out who had drawn it?
