The Plushenko fandom is worried. Plushenkonews wasn't online one week. We don't know what happened with her. We hope she is just on holiday . But she was on holiday not once and still updated the news... She is the administrator of the official site, Plushenkonews on Twitter, Plushy's facebook page, Youtube channel...

She is a fantastic woman,:agree: smart, accurate, she is very good in Russian, English, French language. And Cekoni( her nickname) is a devoted Plushenko fan. She is working for free. I'm sure no one would make this work better for money as she did for free.

I'm waiting some news on her. If she is on holiday tomorrow will appear. :luv17:

Ooo not sure if I want to watch or not! I wouldn't want to see Plushy getting roughed up in the usual hockey way! You know what they say "I went to a fight and a hockey match broke out".

I thought it was unusually quiet on the Official Board!

I hope she is just on holidays! Perhaps she's on a cruise ship with no internet available! I'm going on a cruise with my family next February and apparently there'll be no internet there!

Farewell, Cekoni, you've done so much for the Plushy fandom and you wont be forgotten.
 
I know this news two days ago. I'm in shock, I have no words.... Yesterday I came here but I couldn't write... I chat with her almost every day. She was my friend, but I never met with her personally. I know many things about her personal life, she was alone. Plushy was her son, and we, -the Plushenko community- her family. And being a member of the Plushenko fandom was so much fan!!! because of Cekoni, Svetlana Katanic. This was her real name. She deserves it that you know her name.

She was Serbian and lived in Beograd. Many Plush fans knew her real name. I couldn't imagine how I reacted her death.... I'm crying many times...I feel a huge loss...I miss her so much!

In 2014 she bought the tickets for the ECH, Budapest ( as she did in 2013 and 2012) . We all sent the money for her ( I'm Hungarian, but I also sent her the money), we wanted to sit together and cheer for Plushy. When she learned Plushy won't come to Budapest she sold her ticket because she saved the money for Sochi. She wasn't rich. This is the reason why I didn't meet with her...

53 is still too young. :( I didn't go to the forum very often, but always followed her Twitter and she obviously was very dedicated to what she did, without expecting anything in return. Very sorry for your loss, plushyfan and those who knew her personally.
 
Such sad news :( Rest in Peace Cekoni.
I remember her old post on the forum, she said that Plushy is like her son. That's why she loved him and always defended him from haters online :(

Well, I just finished watching the Men's FS at NHK and wow what a fall-fest! I yearn for the days of cat-like landing Plushy! (Although falling down doesn't really seem to hurt your score too much as long as you get the rotations in so I guess he wouldn't be competitive)

Also I saw this photo a few days ago on Tumblr and got very excited by Plushy's beanie because there's an Aussie flag on it right next to the Russian one!

So sad to hear about Cekoni... I didn't interact a lot with her personally, but I remember how informative and dedicated she was as a fan.

I've grown to accept it as part of current men's skating. There's the ladies' field for clean performances. Plushy is from a different era, but had he been born in this era we would've no doubt seen him attempt (and eventually land) 4Lz, 4Lo ect. We also would've gotten far fewer fall-free performances, but it's not all negatives. :)

Yes, Plushy hates to fall. ;) he showed it not once...:yes:

He landed in perfect 4Lz in trainings, but he tried once on competition. He fell. After he didn't need to do. When Yagudin, Goebel, Plushenko competed they needed to do two quads, one of them was in combination. After that era Plushy was so far from the others in technic thus he had enough one quad combination. Joubert beat him once, but he was so inconsistent. Plushy landed in 4S in Russian Cup, Samara 2003.

Today was Svetlana's funeral. Plushy, Yana and some Plushy fans( Japanese, Chinese, Russian fans and me ) sent wreaths. R.I.P. dear friend. We never forget.
