This is awesome! Basically Mishin with his "kids" and "grandkids". 
He has such a special, wonderful relationship with Plushy! I was wondering if there are any plans for a show in honour of the Professor's 80th birthday, hopefully they can set something up despite the Corona situation.
I like this coach-student relationship so much. I am convinced that there was not and will not be such a relationship as between Mishin and Plushy

Hello fellow Plushy fans!
Hope you're all well. I'm still struggling with keeping my cool...it's my own fault I guess for poking my head into the Russian Ladies Thread. In hindsight it was obvious Plushy was going to be criticized in some off-handed way...I should let it go. But when he was criticized for being too over the top and at the exact same time not supportive enough of Sasha it really set me off. Then I look like the bad guy
In other news Mishin's 80th Birthday show is a go! But... Yagudin and Alina Z are also on the guest list. Ugh, I can almost accept Yagudin's invite, he did train with Mishin all those years, but didn't he pretty much downplay any contribution the Professor made as soon as he left? As I recall he didn't even bother thanking the Professor after his Olympic Gold. Whatever.
Alina's invite stresses me out more, so many people hate Plushy for trying to "poach" her. I hate the idea of them been anywhere near each other, it's like an invitation for the haters to rip into him. He brought it on himself I guess, but it still sucks.
Why is she invited anyway? Because she's the reigning Olympic champ? As far as I know Mishin has had nothing to do with Alina at all. Sigh 
I guess this might mean the event will be televised.
Anyway Plushy posted about the TV1 Cup (which is set to become an annual event)
The Academy also had a visitor, Olga Buzova, except I have no idea who this person is

My dear, for me it doesn't matter who participates. In this show Mishin is the first and Plushy is the next. Because Mishin = Plushy and Plushy = Mishin..He is like father and son .. he is Mishin's most famous and favorite student. This is what everyone who watches this show knows. I think Mishin and Alina kind of connected during the filming of Ice Age. He said some really nice things about her and compared her to Lionel Messi. Very high praise from the Professor.
I'm just speculating, I have no idea why she's performing there. Especially since I think the Ice Age Gala show is the next day. But it's nice to think he might have wanted her there.

Something to make you even happier: I don't think Yagudin will be part of the show. The original announcement just stated that Mishin was the coach of Olympic champions Urmanov, Yagudin, and Plushenko, not that they will participate in the celebration (at least that's how I understood it with my arguably limited Russian skills). On the poster there is no mention of Yagudin, and since he is a rather big celebrity in Russia, I guess they would have used his name for the advertisement if he was going to show up.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Plushy in action! I know he skated in his ice shows, but I would love to see some kind of "regular" exhibition programme from him. He always was so creative with his exhibitions, they often were the highlights of his competitions for me.
