Hey, bombard him with suggestions, so that it will make it too difficult to choose! ;)

Seriously, though, we all know him don't we? If he's determined to come back, come hell or high tide, he will... (she said, in a resigned voice)

Yes, we all know him. He always does what he wants and always reaches what he wants..

Well, seems like Plushy has left the Maldives: http://instagram.com/p/n60UaWGywZ/#

Plushyfan: Even if Plushy hears us, I wonder if he'll take the suggestions seriously? I mean, we're talking about legs and butts on the same page... Not sure if that adds to our credibility. Maybe someone should tweet the suggestions to him? No, wait, bad idea, that just raises the chances of his return to competition (if the percentage isn't already at 100).

He knows his fans. In 2012 the Chinese girls waited him in the airport with this banner: Be healthy and be sexy! This banner was hanging out in the arenas on every shows. When Plushy noticed it he was smiling..the girls told this story on Plushy's website. Many girls followed him from Taipei to Sanghai.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubeiQRIkKcU good thing the girl did not faint because of respiratory distress..

How much fun to be his fan!!!

I have to say the Asian fans are the most intense I've ever seen (polite, but intense ;) ). Not only for Plushy, but for many skaters and other celebs...the huge crowds at the airport, the lavish gifts, etc. I think I would be too shy to camp out at an airport for him. Not that I would expect him to come back to the US any time soon. :slink:

Maybe they are less shy in a group?

Yes, probably.

When I was looking for my previous videos I found these videos again. Sometimes I like better the rehearsal videos than the real performances.

so that means he is really not retiring

No. He will perform on Artistry on Ice in China the end of july and if I know well he will perform in Japan, too. If he wants to perform on those shows he needs to train. So we don't know what's going to happen.

Anyone know what Japan show(s) he will be appearing in? I've heard a lot about "he will be skating in Japan" possibly because of his message to Yuzu, but has anything been confirmed yet? (For all we know, he could mean he'll meet Yuzu in competition ) What shows are running this summer in Japan anyway?

Whatever show he goes to, I predict he'll throw 'em triple axels around. So yes, he will need to train.

That sounds good, that means we will be in for a treat, his performance is often unpredictable in a good way, I really look forward to see in what shape he will show up in

I thought it was Prince Ice World? But I, like galiavich, could have dreamt it too. :)

It does say "More TBA" under Prince Ice World: Tokyo, so that's a possibility. And Yuzu's in Fantasy on Ice, so maybe that one? We can probably rule out The Ice, since it overlaps with Artistry on Ice (and Plush is a headliner for the latter, so it's unlikely he'll attend only half the tour).

The thought of Plushenko and Yuzuru in the same competition is crazy! (in a good way)

After the team SP event in Sochi, I really wished that Yuzu would have another chance to compete against Plushy. So it may come true?

It's crazy that he's still planning to compete in the next season! Wow!

Here is a new article...translated by Google, so it's a little nonsensical. But he does say he is planning to go to Japan. :yay:

Plushenko May 24 start training

Tags Evgeni Plushenko Russian team men's skating

Two-time Olympic champion Yevgeny Plushenko said that in the coming days will start training.

"From May 24, start training. Should see his fortune on the back - will allow it to move or not. Sat up, bored. It is necessary to train, prepare, make new programs. In St. Petersburg will be before June 1, from the 1st to 9th - Novogorske.

Too early to talk about the competitions. I have different plans in the event - Japan, China. To prepare them. It will not be my top form, a minimum set of elements, but at least I'm going to show that he was alive and well, if I can get ready "- quoted Plushenko" R-Sport. "

Another interview today evening google translating
http://www.sovsport.ru/news/text-item/712759
Evgeni Plushenko , returning from a holiday in the Maldives , arrived today at the evening Alexei Nemov "Friends Alexei Nemov visiting the" Grand Sport " .

In an exclusive interview with " Soviet Sport " double Olympic champion said that on May 23, begins to train :

- I especially need now fully recovered . And some conversations and statements about my future in figure skating will be later. I have not yet started training , but , by the way , shall start as early as this week. So I'm not ready yet to clearly and definitely say that I decided . It all depends on health. I feel myself much better now , rest gave forces recovered , he stayed with the family ...

- Before leaving, you ride with a little Japanese girl.

- This is the famous little girl knows all of Japan on a talk show , the crew who come to visit me . I then wrote a huge number of comments and responses to tweeted looking transferring, Japanese. And the girl we rode very well , thank you very much for her that pushed me to go out on the ice.

- Accordingly, you and yet very clear idea of what you expect from the upcoming training ? And it would be , preparation for demonstration performances in a tour , or a full return to the sport ?

- I do not want to get ahead . You need to start training and see what and how it will turn out.

- Is still remained unconquered peaks and unfulfilled dreams ?

- My biggest dream - health. That nothing disturbed . If the injury will not hold my impulses , something can happen even interesting. In Novogorske May 23 I start working with a coach in my PFD and Resident Choreographer David Avdysh . I do not need to have , thank God, flee somewhere with his sword unsheathed , as it happened before the Olympics in Sochi ...

Whew, it's nice to see these interviews (assuming the journalists + Google didn't butcher his responses). It seems like Plush is being (by his standards) quite level-headed: taking it one step at a time, seeing how much his body can handle, and placing health above all else. And it looks like I'm wrong. He won't be throwing 'em 3As around in shows. Another cause for relief (I love his 3A, but it's probably too soon).

"flee somewhere with his sword unsheathed"--looks like Plushy is picking up Mishin's skill with metaphors!

Re: Award--did someone in the comments compare him with a porn actor?! Darn, more reason to bring the mullet back. That is not a resemblance that needs to continue.

Yes, I also noticed that his metaphor likes Mishin's metaphor..:) I also checked who is Christoph Clark  He is blond as Plushy...I think. His mullet will never come back. Unfortunately he is balding, he has much less hair .

I just find this http://rsport.ru/figure_skating/20140520/747330693.html

Plushy said he will go to Japan in mid-June !!!!!!

Mid-June...so maybe he's going to do Yuzuru's show in Sendai, Together On Ice - June 13/14? Otherwise there is Fantasy on Ice with several stops, but isn't he supposed to go to the Mishin camp in Italy? That would overlap as it starts on June 16.

As far as his hair goes, a lot of male skaters lose their hair, but at 31 Plushy seems to be doing better than some others, like Johnny Weir. Of course, Johnny is not opposed to getting a weave. I don't think Plushy will ever go that route...
