Well, when he is on, Joubert's programs look not bad. And his jumps are all solid. He deserves some credit of course. If only Joubert and Lambiel merged into one skater, :biggrin:

Heh, it was a dangerous thread to make. Maybe I shouldn't have. But (imo) they are comparable in age, era, technical skills, and careers, so there is something to compare there.

Nah, Plushy is a big bad monster who hates everyone who ever beat him. Therefore, he won't want to give Brian a Fan Fest. Stephane is better 'cause he never beat Plushy. :p
 
@Sandpiper - I know! Plushy hates Brian so much that he keeps on saying nice things about him and inviting him to his shows! Sigh.... What can one say? Plushy is one bitter hateful person who just cannot let go.... ;)

@Meoima - What do you mean "not bad"? Soon you will say that Brian's.... "good average"!!! Sniff! (looks resentful)
 
If you missed Mishin's interview during the JGP men's FS today, someone has kindly uploaded it to Youtube. It's great! Mishin said Plushy is "very, very old." :rofl:

I'll post in a Joubert fan thread...let's get it started! Also, I enjoy all of the "__" vs. "__" skater threads, as long as people as least attempt to be semi-objective and aren't rude or condescending to those with different opinions.

Thank you for the link. Mishin's favourite non-Russian skater is Browning... interesting. Also, the part about all the talent that sometimes falls to the wayside... :no:

OMG!!!! Unbelieveable costumes! Some month ago Plushy was in the Russian film factory, probably the costume designer is working in it...

(Also, can't remember who brought up the possibility of tights--Gallavich?--but it's happened, and there are no judges to deduct them either! :rock:)

I think it is indeed the Snow Queen with a King, because Yana talked about characters named Gerda and Kai on one of the Instagram photos. Since I remember nothing about the Snow Queen story, I wiki'd it. Based on the costumes, I think that Irina and Johnny will play Gerda and Kai, and Brian & Katarina will be a prince & princess. There's also supposed to be an evil troll character - who will that be? Do we go back to our ideas of Evan, Kovtun or Yagudin? :laugh: Of course, I don't know what other liberties they will take with the story, since we've already got a King instead of a Queen (random crazy thought - what if the Snow King costume is convertible like the Asisai costume...?).

Yes - I did wish for tights - and it came true! Now I wish that he comes to the US...and Australia, why not?
