Awww Plushy and Egor, the resemblance is uncanny! (Those Plushenko nose genes must be strong!)

I also love Sasha's pilot goggle beanie, it's adorable!

As for what Plushy's up to in the last photo, I think he's feeding koi fish at an aquarium - at least that's what they said on the official forum.

Plushy was in the Aquarium with Yana's sons https://instagram.com/p/2RNKSbyY6P/ Look at Nikolai, he is so tall, and he was really a chubby two years ago..

@EvgeniPlushenko: Skated a little bit 💪💪💪😜 https://instagram.com/p/2aOWiImyxc/

a little bit...He needs to work if he really wants to compete. And I'm curious who will be his choreographer. I really hope he will work with new choreographer. He mentioned Nikita Mikhailov, but when he said that he talked about gala numbers. I have doubts Nikita can choreograph competitive programs.

Plushy yesterday, at Sochi airport - he is back in Moscow with Sasha, Yana's boys, Sasha's nanny and their bodyguard... while Yana is at fashion shows in South Korean and U.S
http://websta.me/p/979204792238265139_1771968635 : At first he sat in black glasses and my mother and I sat and thought a real or just similar, but after 30 minutes he takes off his glasses. I immediately realized that this is it. I immediately ran # photographed and soon he was gone. (Reveal it) I was hoping that he would fly with me in the same plane, even I began to pray, but he flew another flight...

Plushenko reminds me of Ric Flair... and I personally would love to watch him skate to Flair's theme music.

Robin Cousins skated to it in the late 70s but I can't find a video of it. A couple of Russian Pairs skaters have use this music too.

This is Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey movie soundtrack! I also would like to see a program to this music

@EvgeniPlushenko: Dear Veterans! Happy Victory Day to You! https://instagram.com/p/2dUH3Rmy2E/ Thank You for the great strength of the spirit, Your courage. Low bow to You! Let the spirit of victory inspires our hearts and leads forward - to new acts of bravery, successes and achievements. And let the whole world has always lived in the peace, and about the wars recalls only this happy holiday!"

hehe I can envision Plushy doing 10 000 transitions like a boss in his new programs just to shut everybody up

I would love that. Of course the haters would just find something else to complain about (like Vancouver or Sochi, for the 10,000,000th time :slink:)

I'm starting to get excited after seeing the clip. :yay:

Well ... I always tought that it counts as a transition when Plushenko does crossovers. Or is it just me? ;)
I like the half Bielmann 3Lz!

It would be amusing, though, if the criticism went from "empty" to "frantic" (which seems to be the word to use when criticising a program with transitions from a skater one doesn't like - no matter if one spends the rest of one's time ooh-ing and ah-ing about transitions, transitions, transitions... you know, if there is a will, there's always a way.;))

Lovely spiral straight into 3Lz. With age, I think perhaps his jump landings become somewhat less secure, but by now he has the muscle memory of a clean landing so etched in his body that he can save almost anything.

This, I think, is what keeps him able to come back, time after time. I would imagine he could do any jump without even consciously thinking about what he has to do, now.

I'd like to see this in a competition program. Though I must say, IIRC, he did the spiral-into-lutz in the same direction circa. 2010. I think I preferred that one.

^agree. But I think spiral after the lutz isn't needed.
I feel the same way. One spiral is cool. Two is a little loud in its, "Points! Transitions! GOE!!!" demands.

"You want transitions? I'll give you transitions! You'll have transitions coming out of your ears! I'll give you so many transitions, you'll beg and plead with me to take some out!"

:laugh2: I was actually thinking this the second he announced his comeback and people were writing that they didn't want Plushy getting PCS for 'empty' programs, I thought to myself "Are you kidding? He'll stuff his program so full of transitions PChan will be crying in his Wheaties."

Although, programs these days seem so busy...so it's not always a good thing. :p

Oh, I'm not overly-fond of transitions - if they fit the program, then, fine, but otherwise I can take'em or leave'em. I'm not at risk of dying of boredom if a skater uses a second or two to se up a hard jump - especially if this results in the skater actually landing it. But I'm oldfashioned that way.;) (Actually, I'm mostly oldfashioned in every way - but that is a completely different matter.;))
