As I said Yesterday was the premier of Averbukh's Nutcracker. #щелкунчикавербух I really believe that is a very good show, with nice costumes, scenery,good choreography, great skaters..but that is not on same level with #щелкунчикплющенко You can check it. Averbukh lost.

I have only been able to see a few bits and pieces of the Nutcracker so far, but it definitely looks like a very nice production! Averbukh's looks a little cheap in comparison. :slink:

Maybe that's unfair though...I haven't really seen many ice shows at all that look so extravagant. Good for the Russian audience, but what about the rest of us?

Cheap. Yes, this was my first thought on it. But in an interview Ilia said the cost was 100 million Rubles. ( The first Snow King's cost was 4 million Dollars. I believe they bought the technic in that time.)

My chinese friend wrote me she likes the Snow King more. The Nutcracker is for children, that is a real tale. The Snow King was great for children and adults, too.

I am glad to know the skating school will soon open. The King teaching the next generation!

Good question. I don't know. They are always talking about it, probably the negotiations are ongoing but the whole show is too grandiose. Too many skaters, technic, costume, etc. Or they don't find sponsors to make profit. They were with the Snow King in Kazakhstan and they will go in 2017, too.

@anonymoose_au I adore your vidos. This guy is special, and thanks to the well-functioning fan service we all know these. Thus we love him so much.

I believe only Yuzu has similar fan camp.
I loved his other master classes, too those shows how much he loves the children and shows his humility to his works, his figure skating. He will be a well prepared coach.

I'm very curious about his skating school. Will they just start with very young children or will some established skaters go there? Is he actually going to be a regular coach or just have the school in his name like Volosozhar/Trankov? Who else will be on the staff? Well, maybe he will give more interviews after the holiday.

Yes, I'm also curious what are his plans, ideas. That is very interesting he announced the opening of his skating school when he didn't want to compete anymore thus I hope he will work in it.
