Evgeni Plushenko

I played in National Leage I/B. That was the second class of national leage. I was invited by some clubs to play in the first leage. But the first invitation was before my university studies, and I don't want to be professional, I wanted to be teacher. The others were after my degree. If I accept the invitations I wouldn't have been teacher for a long time. Thus I decided again and I played in the second leage..Two years and I became pregnant..my first daughter was born. I played one more year but that was very difficult to bring up my child, to train every days, to play in every week-end, and to teach in school... I was relatively young when I finished the sport.

You are right every FS fan should be very grateful to Plushy because he made that scandal at Vancouver. But you believe me they celebrate the developing of the men skating now but they denie Plushy had main role in it... ;)

Yes, figure skating is a guiltily pleasure of mine. I'm not obsessed with it, but I do like it. Ever since I was 8 years old and watched Ice Princess for the first time, I found myself growing a fondness for it 😂🙈 I find it very satisfying and pleasuring to watch.

Mishiin: Honored coach of Russia Alexei Mishin said that he is waiting for the moment when he will suffer defeat from his pupil the double Olympic champion in figure skating Evgeni Plushenko, since such a loss is "the best for the teacher."

Plushenko on Friday announced the completion of the career of the figure skater and the transition to coaching.

"I've been with Evgeny all my life, we continue to cooperate, I'm preparing simulators for his school, he already ordered them for me," Mishin told reporters. "I'm waiting for the moment when I will suffer defeat from him." The best defeat for the teacher is from his student. Derzhavin and Pushkin: I am Derzhavin. " -google translate

Oh yes( during Men' FP commentators said how many quads athlets doing now, they were in shock after Chen' six quads, but nobody said a word about Vankouver and the man who we must be grateful for that progress(

Oh, Plushyfan, it' so cool!) And me... alas, I can not do even a single jump like that!)

And Papa Mishin!) Pushkin is the greatest russian poet, the most harmonious, and he had an affect on the whole russian literature)

I know who is Pushkin. We learned in the school..But who is Derzhavin? Mishin and his metaphors ;) BTW, I adore them :)

He was one of the very first russian poets, very famous and popular. But he was a poet of 18th century, and his poesy differed very much from Pushkin. Derzhavin appreciated and supported young Pushkin)

Thus understandable Mishin's post. He will support Pushkin aka Plushenko...

Aaaah this just reminded me how much I love Carmen! I don't think I watched the Men at Salt Lake City - or if I did I can't remember...but when I went back and watched it on YouTube and they were talking about how it was pretty much impossible for him to win the gold (unless Timothy Goebel was placed higher than Yags or some weird thing like that) I was awed by how much Plushy threw down. If not for the fall in the Short Program...

Also, 3A-1L-3Something - Plushy was doin' it before it was cool. ;)

Aaah I love the beach photo! Everything about it is perfect, especially the shadow! Look at the power and elegance in that shadow!

Awww, I still like his face :P Although he does have very round cheeks in that pic, I wanna poke them.

:agree: Back at ya!

Awwww Papa Mishin! I love their relationship - it really is like father and son, I hope when they meet up as coaches the coach cams will be rolling!

Uh-oh, brace yourselves...someone finally got around to posting about Plushy's retirement in The Edge. Let's hope they keep it nice. :drama:

Moving on, Plushy congratulated Yuzu on his win last night. Shame Yuzu doesn't seem to be on social media, he'd be liking that so fast!

In the realms of amazing photos, this one is gorgeous! https://www.instagram.com/p/BSXLS-oBdH5

And I was looking at Plushy's instagram and saw this animation that hadn't been posted before (I think): https://www.instagram.com/p/BSTEDRnhTkw/  cute!

2010 Plushy seems so young now) But I remember how much I liked him at that time because he looks such adult and manly, especially at the Gala - such strong and sad and wise man, after that stupid and unfair defeat.

He seems confident that he will be at the Olympics as a coach. So who is he planning to go with? I remember when he offered to help Kolyada and frankly, I don't see Kolyada getting any better with his current team and style...does anyone think he will take Plushy up on his offer? Or does he have someone else lined up?

Aww the comments I could read were so nice! Also how nice were those slo-mo jumps? Such control on the landings! I miss that a bit in modern skating with all these transitions :p

I thought he meant in the future? Like not the 2018 Olympics, but the next one or maybe the one after that? But then Plushy can be impatient ;)

As for Mikhail I'm not sure... Would he want to go to a new coach in an Olympic season? Seems kinda risky, especially with a coach who's just started coaching - even if it is Plushy.

I really hope he goes to this Olympics even if it's only as a spectator I want to see him in the stands. (Actually I'd love to see him in the Gala - since he never got to do it at Sochi, but that's probably not allowed - shame)
