I hope you're all well, I am health wise, but I'm angry and upset at what happened with Sasha T at the Cup. I hope all those posters who sneered at Plushy and suggested he had some special sekrit power over the Rus Fed will sit down and shut up because he clearly doesn't. Looks like Eteri does though, she's probably gloating and laughing right now.

It isn't fair...I can't believe the Fed did that. They're so heartless, I knew they were awful with how they treated Arthur Gachinski but they truly are complete scum.

I swear if those judges lowball Kirill S in Juniors I will explode in rage.

Don't worry Anonymoose, I think Kirill will be alright There isn't really a clear favourite in junior men's so the judges don't know who to push. They'll reward people for skating relatively clean and/or doing difficult jumps, like Artem Kovalev. Sometimes I think Sasha would score better in the men's category...
to Stasya Konstantinova, by the way. Stood out from the other ladies (well, girls) for her sassy interpretation and good skating skills, and landing her jumps of course. Pat on the back for Plushy and Volkov, hopefully they're turning her career around!

I like the program that I skate this season. I myself insisted that they take the music from “Gangster Petersburg”, to which Evgeni Plushenko once performed . I dedicated this program to Zhenya, a student of Alexei Nikolaevich and Tatyana Nikolaevna Mishin.

I'm not afraid that Zhenya and I will be compared in this program, since it is set to the same music. As I said, I want to show decent skating and compete with my rivals, ”Semenenko said.

Well it's been a whirlwind past few days with many emotions! Alas Kirill S didn't make the podium, but he was 4th and Sofia M second in the Juniors! All in all a triumph for the Academy.

In other news I need an intervention of some kind...I keep going into the Russian Ladies thread and arguing, it's like a bad addiction. Plus I'm looking a bit like a jerk who's picking on Kamila V.

But! On topic! I'm super excited about Plushy's rink! The building looks huge! I can't wait to see the ice sheets all laid out and ready to go.

Yeah, all in all Russian Cup stage 2 was a really nice outing for the Academy. We got to see so many of them and everyone put out a good effort Looking forward to the season debuts of Aliona K and Leonid S sometime soon! And Sofia T (at least I think she has yet to compete this season IIRC...)

Thanks for the clip of Plushy's Petersburg 300 skate, plushyfan (that 4T3T3Lo was amazing). Didn't realise Evgeny Semenenko's SP was a tribute, that's cool!

PS Anyone who frequents the competition thread knows that you aren't a jerk and root for all the skaters, Anonymoose! Commiserations though, I also venture into the RLT more than I ought to even though it makes me feel kinda like I'm reading world news (i.e. exasperated at humanity).

The director of the Sambo-70 called Plushy a "fool", but the truth is absolutely the opposite. I am wondering why Trusova and Kostornaya cannot leave this school for other clubs. It is true that Plushy has broken this outdated system with his highly professional abilities now, but what's wrong with that? Such poorly-educated official would definitely get fired in other countries after making such disgusting attacks on a well-known personality. BTW, who the hell is Yagudin? A showman should not feel lonely, should he? Who really cares about his ugly performance?

I'm missing Sofia T a bit! Is she going to compete in the Junior Cup of Russia? Or is she too young for that? I'm not sure what the age rules are...

However! Nikita Sarnovsky, Kirill's little brother is completing at the Panin-Kolomenkin Memorial in St Petersburg. I'm hoping to watch him on the stream.

Is this the same dude who somehow "forgot" to invite Alina to the Sambo-70 anniversary? He should concentrate on getting his own house in order before lecturing others.

It's interesting though, because Elena Tchaikovskaya has a group at Sambo-70 too and as Plushyfan mentioned is a huge fan of Plushy. I'm sure I saw a link to an interview from her just recently on Insta, but alas I didn't save the link. But yeah one wonders how awkward morning meetings might be at Sambo!

Well I'm definitely fearing to tread in the Russian Ladies thread, where apparently the news is a new interview from Plushy, where he says some rather contraversial stuff. Oh dear..I assume they asked for his opinion, but just this morning I was thinking to myself "Don't give contraversial interviews, Plushy" and what has he done? Give a contraversial interview

In on topic figure skating news, Kirill's brother Nikita Sarnovsky competed at the Panin-Kolomenkin Memorial - he was 20th after the short - which I missed, but managed to come back in the free to move up to 13th place! This I did catch on the live stream and I was very impressed! He jumped a 3A! The landing was rough, but still pretty amazing! (I'm not certain how old Nikita is, I think maybe 12?) I had to go to bed before the Junior Men finished and at the time he was a good 10 points ahead of the other boys. Nicely done, Nikita!

Also, Sasha Trusova did a Quad loop! Seems it was slightly under-rotated, but wow! That means she has done ALL.THE.QUADS! Apparently she's not training with Sergei R, but Dima M seems to be doing really well with her

Beautiful! I like seeing Leonid and Artem training together. Both have quite different skating styles, so lots to learn from each other. It must be a fun experience for Plushy to be coaching the two older boys, since they already compete in senior men's category. Maybe extra relatable for him

That's thing I don't get. They seem to enjoy this type of nonsense. But to me and a lot of other people, particularly outside of Russia, they just keep embarrassing themselves.

Sometime I too hope he can keep a little more to himself. No matter what he says, people will twist his words and interpret at the worst possible way. But if Plushy not talking, then it's not Plushy, hah? I admire that he is never afraid of speaking of his mind and has the guts to stand up for his skaters.
