Negative GOE on the 2A, but also not called under.
The spins are all level 4 with positive GOE, but the step sequence was a level 3.
Her TES is slightly lower than Bradie, but PCS is higher, particularly SS (see progress!).
They've seemed to heightened the bar on step sequence lately. Watching the juniors I've noticed that many that would have been level 4 last year are now level 3.
To be fair Bradie earned those higher TES today. She was probably the only skater there who was really competition ready so we shouldn't begrudge her but Zhenya should absolutely be getting higher PCS, especially SS so happy to see she achieved that.

I've just seen it, so here are my impressions.
Costume: Agree with those who like the bottom, but don't like the top. The blue straps goes to low, the black part of the neckline is like T-shirt under the dress. For different type of music maybe it would suit better (like some moderd rhythm), not for jazz.
Music: I've said earlier I'm not fan of jazz (before I'd be called hater, I remind you I also said I'm not fan of POTO or Carmen tooSo it is only opinion to music itself, nothing more). But that doesn't mean it couldn't be good music for the program. Which leads me to the most important part.
Zhenya's skating: Her abilities are undisputed, that's for sure. Music she skates to requires relaxed, little flirting style, smiles, self-confidence. At the beginning, Zhenya was in obvious (and understandable) tension. With such music it can be more visible than with some more dramatic score. But throughout the program she released some stress and it was much better. I think she can sell the program better, just need to self-confident and less nervous. About jumps - for me lutz is the same, 3F-3T solid as always, one small mistake at 2A is nothing serious. Overall score seems quite fair to me, howeve I would give slightly more for TES (1-1,5 point) and slightly less for PCS (interpretation of music was weaker for me than average 8.75, mainly on the beginning).
Brian mentioned that Zhenya was working with a nutritionist in his interview in the September issue of Piruette magazine. This makes me happy that she’s getting professional advice on her eating habits. This is one area where her previous coaching situation was completely off base.
I wonder if it makes sense to keep 3Lz! Instead of 3lo, which imo would give her more points. That said, there’s SO much space for improvement - which is good! This program can score very very high once she skates it clean and wit confidence. She left a lot of points on the table yesterday (the 2A was wonky, stsq got level 3, 3Lz got!) which means that she has a lot of space to grow.
Im not worried, this is simply how it’s gonna be this season - it’s a time of adjustment! We knew it, she knew it, Brian knew it. Rome wasn’t built in a day![]()
Here is the video I took of Zhenya's SP runthrough, which I don't think was televised: https://youtu.be/gQNqzVq6KdA
Her jumps were much better here, and I think she sold the program better too. So I think she's suffering from nerves and lack of muscle memory for her retooled jumps more than anything else. All her axels in the warmups looked good--the SP was literally the only time she messed up the landing on any of her jumps yesterday.
Yes, SS =Skating Skills. What is SS? Skating Skills?
