I was just looking at numbers. Gracie is the only skater to have beaten Evgenia in both a short program segment (2016 Worlds) and long program (2015 Skate America). Few have bested her in a single segment. Gracie 2x, Alaine Chartrand (Cup of Russia), Elena Radionova (Cup of Russia which Elena won), Anna Pogoriylaya (Worlds 2016) since Evgenia has gone senior. Clearly, Gracie has the goods to win, sometimes I womder if part of it is making her see just how good she is.

I think Gracie is the only one left that can still conceivably top Evgenia. If Gracie comes out and hits two programs more than once next her scores could be huge enough to apply pressure to Evgenia. I think next season the judges are going to be looking for someone to challenge the current leader. We'll see how it shakes out.
 
Gracie has been in a bunch of Ashley's instagram story videos and pictures for this Stars on Ice tour. It's fun to see these awesome girls as friends.
 
Thanks for bringing in the interview. Given her interview, she can be a motivational speaker for young children. She looks happy these days, but I wonder whether she can go back to her form before the new season starts.
 
I love gracie gold shes beautiful and graceful and a terrific skater, I would love too see at the top and medal at the 2018 Olympics.:yahoo:
 
It's so good to read a Q & A from Gracie. I really hope she can get back into tip-top shape and come out ready to fight! She performed last night in Chicago at Stars on Ice. I wasn't able to go but am anxious to hear from a friend who went.

Sad :( to say that an article was published last night with news about her father and issues in his professional life going at least as far back as 2015.

Hugs to Gracie :ghug:. Can't be making her life any easier to have his troubles weighing on her mind.
 
^^^I am so very sorry to read this article about Gracie's father. These things have to be effecting her mental state in some way. I would also wonder if this has brought along with it a financial strain. It's already difficult enough paying for skating, even when things are going well. I am really pulling for her, but I just hope all these challenges she has are not insurmountable. :sad4:
 
Oh my goodness, that is a lot to have going on. People are criticising her on this board for doing shows and endorsements when it is possible those are now essential for her. Hugs for her, let's all support her no matter what comes next.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that it must have been awful for Gracie... It is just a reminder how quick people are to judge someone without knowing the full story. I remember when Sasha left Robin Wagner she was criticised for not working hard enough and no one knew that her parents were going through a divorce at the time which surely was affecting Sasha very badly, especially as the family separated due to Sasha's training in Connecticut.

Good to see that Gracie is the featured performer at Sun Valley. I would love to see her come out and prove what she can do and prove the haters wrong. Want to see our girl come out fighting this season!

TBH I don't know what to think - the SP I am fine with as Gracie picked it up herself so she must feel some connection to the song. The LP I am a bit disappointed though it is a beautiful music but oh why the ballet again - the third season in a row (and Sleeping Beauty in 2013-14!)? Considering that Gracie's strengths are power, speed, big jumps - the ballet somehow is the last thing I would think of if choosing music for Gracie - but well whatever as long as she is back technically it won't matter that much, still I expected more from Marina :rolleye:
