If they haven't drawn you in yet, check out their exhibitions, particularly Somewhere Beyond the Sea.

You know, their exhibitions are really excellent. They don't just get out there and shake their booties around, they ice dance. The two ones in particular I could recommend are "The Nutcracker" and as dorispulaski recommended, "Beyond the Sea". Both are wonderful with so much beautiful skating and a romantic flowing style that's so satisfying to watch.
Sure, here's the youtube link...it is awesome..from 06-07 4CC.oh my god, there's a nutcracker one? could I see it please?

Now, you know Igor has a history with this particular piece of music...Silverstein and Pekarak skated a lovely dance to this back when they competed together. I could totally see Meryl and Charlie doing a great job with this one. Might be overused and perhaps not good for competition but it would make a great exhibition program for them.Count me as a fan of their "Nutcracker" exhibition program as well!
I particularly love the 2006 NHK version. I think the light, costumes, music and choreography matched so perfectly. They were just like two fairies who jumped right out of a fairy tale, and danced so beautifully in the scene...You know, such an exhibition may not catch as much attention as the hot, entertaining ones do, but it definetly has a unique pure quality and personality that stands out from the others. This is the same way as what I feel about Meryl and Charlie themselves. They're young, fresh and adorable. They may not have fully developed as artists on ice yet, but have a unique look and style that no one else can be the same.
The fact that they're good-waltzers makes me think of the "Sentimental waltz" from "My sweet and tender beast". I know many have skated to this piece of music, but I still think Meryl and Charlie can express the light, softness, emotion and drama pretty well. I always love Marina and Gwendal's OD to it back in 1999, but it was an OD version, only 2:30 minutes long. If the music cut was an extended one for FD, it could have more contents.
Off topic I suppose-does anyone know when we can expect to know what the skaters are doing for programs next year? I know it would probably be too soon to expect for a month or so, but...yeah...lol
