Let's look at Alina. She came to Eteri at age 12 with what? a triple salchow, double axel, triple loop? Two years later, she's got the most technically demanding junior program we'd ever seen at that point. That isn't all Daniil's accomplishment. A lot of it is, but a lot of it is also Dudakov's, Tutberidze's, etc. They're all working together to give each student what they believe is the best.

Look, I don't agree with how Eteri's acting now, and I think it's petty and immature. But that doesn't mean that she hasn't done anything as a coach or that it's okay to diminish what she has done. She built Evgenia from the ground up and made her as good as she was, long before she had a team like Duadkov and Gleikenghauz working alongside her. She took Yulia through Sochi, and yes, what happened afterward, but she gave Yulia experiences and success she never would've had in Ekaterinburg. She took Polina to the top and it's not her fault that Polina keeps getting injured -- she seems to have something that makes her more prone to injuries? as far as I know. She took Alina in and made her a star, with the help of her team. She made Tarakanova more consistent, brought Kostornaya back after everyone thought she was done, gave Trusova better tech skills, made Akatieva possibly the best skater of her age that we've ever seen, brought success and quads to Shcherbakova even after those horrible injuries, coached Panenkova to good scores and incredible jumps, and the list goes on and on. Yes, she's flawed, and yes, she's done some very questionable stuff, but that doesn't take away from the good.

Don't care how successful she's been - this type of behaviour (or should I say this pattern of behaviour) - JUST NO. There's a way to be successful without being a tool

I’m so mad generically at the moment with Eteri because this is so petty of her. Medvedeva’s reputation is crucial to her as a figure skater and she’s been building it up for the last three years. This behaviour of Eteri’s could and might shatter Medvedeva’s reputation which will mean she could loose sponsors which are crucial for her to train with Orser. Additionally competitions like rusnats are crucial for comps like worlds and Europe’s so if Eteri turns the fed against Zhenya it could wreck her hopes of going to the olympics.

Yes, but Eteri sent them a screenshot that showed all the messages what she sent to Evgenia from the middle of April. She said that Evgenia didn’t respond to her. Is this a good thing? It shows Med was angry, was really angry on Eteri and that confirms what she said.

The screenshot only proved that Med hasn’t responded to Eteri from April but that’s all. It says nothing much about the time before that. Med has a high tolerance as she has been there in the group for 10 years. For someone so patient like her to leave it’s a big deal and there are always many sides of the stories. Just saying whatever Eteri is telling people about Med doesn’t represent Med herself.

I don‘t know whether it is true what Eteri said but even if it was: it was in a moment of the probably biggest disappointment in her whole life. Zhenya is 18 years old. She has proven time and again that she is mature and classy about her rivals. She called her own fans off when they were bashing Radionova. And it‘s not like she said anything to the public it was to Eteri, a person she trusted and has known for ELEVEN years. It was in a fit of temper, she was obviously emotional. Have you never said anything you later regretted when your emotions were running high?

I just don‘t get how people can make Evgenia this hypocrite, rude skater when she‘s never been anything but classy. Whereas Eteri... I‘m not going to bash her but well, the same situation has happened with Yulia Lipnitskaya before, so... There must be some reason for it.

Can we please not excuse Eteri’s behaviour due to her being a good coach. Yes she might be talented at getting the most out of children but that doesn’t condone her behaviour or make her actions okay. Just like how Anerica’s success in 2016 doesn’t excuse the treatment that those girls were enduring. Can we think about the teenagers and children involved cause if she says stuff like this to the press what does she do to them in training.

I just wish she'd leave Alina out of it. Of course Evgenia would've wanted her to stay in juniors. I think that's a valid thing for her to think. At the same time, of course that would be an unfair decision. Another valid thing to think. Both of those things exist and were on both of their minds, I'm sure.

At the same time, Evgenia was also the only person at the Olympics who was supportive to Alina on a personal level and kept their relationship through Stars on Ice. It puts Alina in a weird situation and is just an obvious attempt to personally attack and discredit anything Evgenia says/does.

It's manipulative. Victimizing a 15 year old in a situation that has nothing to do with her in order to vilify Evgenia. She's trying to get to people's emotions and turn them on Evgenia. Don't let her do it.

I wish for all of the girls to be able to get out of that toxic environment.

I used to think that she was an incredible coach, but trying to destroy a student just because she decides to leave is horrible. What is the use of building something if you are going to destroy it in this way?

Also, there may have been a reason for ignoring Eteri’s texts. If she was making a change her agent probably instructed her to have no direct communication with Eteri and that all future communication would have to go through her agent. This is what lawyers tell you when they are negotiating a deal so it makes sense. It’s not her being ungrateful, it’s her following instructions. Eteri is being beyond petty.
