World Championships is just around the corner so are there any fans of the guys?

I cheer for team Japan who have been trying in vain for 7 years to get that illusive Team Gold away from China.

Their team consists of:
Kohei Uchimura -King of Artistic Gymnastics for 6 years...all he wants now is the team gold...he sometimes messes up in the team event --how embarrassing!

Ryohei Kato - Prince of Artistic Gymnastics, World Silver medalist in the AA, just suffered a bad injury to his ankle --will he recover in time?

Tomomasa Hasegawa - Pommel Horse specialist with a D of 7.3 but also a pretty solid AA can get about 89-90 points.

Kenzo Shirai -Floor specialist, World Champion on the floor, and has the quad! heh, quadruple twist.

Yusuke Tanaka - another All-rounder from the famous Tanaka gymnastic family. -suffering from wrist injury at present

Kazuma Kaya - Young newcomer to the AA but agressive and high-scoring on most apparatus.

Team Japan's weakness is the Rings, but they still score decently there. Pommelhorse is always tricky, you never know who's going to fall off...

Any China Fans want to give a run-down of the team dynamics? Or from Germany? What about Oleg Venariev, he is undefeated this year in the AA with tremendously high scores...can he challenge Uchimura for the gold this year? I hope I'm not the only one who likes MAG. Join the conversation.

I looooooove men gymnastics (I love WAG too).
My absolute favorite is Oleg Verniaiev  He's been on fire this year and he's the only one who can come close to Kohei scores. Still I don't think he can beat him... I just hope he win a medal in the AA. He deserves it!

I'm going to Glasgow next week with my sister. We're going to WAG & MAG AA and EF day 1 & 2. I'm so excited

I'm a huge fan of men's artistic gymnastics! As well as a huge fan of Kohei and Team Japan. Here's what I want in the team final. I want Japan to bring it really bring it. They need to put so much pressure on Team China that China has to perform super clean in order to win. I think Japan's time is coming! I really believe that 2016 Rio will be their year!

I had this post on my dash and, whilst it is also a lovely post, I couldn't stop laughing at the tags. :laugh2:

Heheh, my sister made that set. She's a talented girl. --Poor Kohei, he wants that team Gold more than anything.

I'm super impressed with Oleg as well, in past World Championships he has always made 1 or 2 very bad mistakes and has taken himself out of contention. This year he seems more steady. There is a chance for him to win.

The team event should be an exciting battle between Japan and China! Any predictions on who will get bronze?

I think it's between GB and the USA. Since GB is at home and the USA just lose Sam Mikulak, I would say GB is favorite for that bronze medal!
Russia has the potential but they always fail at team event so they are out of contention for me.

The qualifications will be really exciting. China, Japan, Great Britain, USA and Russia are "sure" qualifiers but I wonder who will take the 3 other direct tickets to Rio!

How could I forget the USA team? I was really sorry about Sam Makulak, He's always fun to watch.

I also enjoy Epke on the HB VS Habuchen both super dynamic HB specialists.

And I hear Marcel Nguyen is recovered and going to Word Championships too.

I have been a Team Japan fan since the Athens Olympics and I loved the Athens line-up. Hiroyuki Tomita, Hisashi Mizutori, Naoya Tsukahara, Takehiro Kashima, Isao Yoneda and Daisuke Nakano. It was definitely a historic moment for Japanese gymnastics and the first team gold since the 1976 Olympics - and this is what Uchimura has been dreaming of doing. The Japanese men execute their elements in a beautiful way, making even the most difficult elements look effortless.

In other news, Marian Dragulescu is coming back and competing in Glasgow. He is a 3 time Olympic medalist, 9 time World medalist and 14 time European medalist and a member of the bronze medal winning Team Romania of the Athens Olympics. He is also known for his skill on vault and he says he is looking to debut another one.

Hasegawa has been withdrawn due to injury and Naoto Hayasaka (19) is replacing him. Team Japan are now more than half under 20. I'm so worried for them since this is their very first Worlds.
The Veterans are Uchimura, Kato, Kenzo and Tanaka. Kenzo is 19, but he's been to Worlds 2 times already.

I was so sad for Hasegawa, following his progress this year, he tried so hard to make the team for the past few years. He finally made it this time, only to be injured at the last moment. :hopelessness:

Team Japan is going to be hard pressed to beat China now, with a lot of their veterans injured.
