Kwanticism, because, I dare to examine your theory about the Kwan, Yu, and usfsa conspiracy :scowl:

What are the "we" you are referring to?? Are you referring to yourself and people who practice your profession??
But I know a lot about Orthopedics, orthopods, pain, ligament and muscle/soft tissue injuries from my own experience. Belive me.
oh, I believe you absolutely, if you are talking about your own experience, but you haven't share any of your personal experience so far.
I'll bet you a million dollars Dr. Yu 1) did no diagnostic tests because their are none that orthpods use
What makes your so sure to bet one mil? I don't know whether orthopods do or not, I was asking you to dig up the practice guideline from the orthopods for diagnosis and treatment of strained ligament, then we can estimate whether it is more likely than not that Dr. Yu is following or ignoring practice guideline in his treatment and diagnosis of Kwan and other figure skaters.
2) doesn't practice AK as they don't believe in it or educate thenselves beyond what PT can do.
You talk as if AK is the definitive diagnosis, and miracle cure all in one, that is why I ask you what is the sensitivity and specificity of AK?
Remember, Michelle pays him.
More likely Kwan's health insurance pays him if he renders a professional service, so you mean MK bribes him. But if you are trying to say Leisure Yu is taking the risk of losing his medical license and lie for Michelle Kwan, then it does not make too much sense. Considering losing a medicl license means he will not be able to earn $$ for a loooooonnnng time, I doubt Kwan has that much money. Do you know how much an orthopod with his credential make a year, 0.5 - 2 million? Multiply that by 10 -20 years, nope IMO Michelle does not have that kind of money to bribe him. BTW, if you are so sure that Yu only cares for money at the expense of professional ethics, why wouldn't he run diagnostic tests?? Whether the tests rule in or rule out a diagnosis, he gets pay anyway.
As for conspiracy stories-what a leap of imagination.
What a leap of imagination indeed to believe that Yu, usfsa are conspiring in this.
Doctors lie all the time.
So your theory is doctors lie all the time, since Leisure Yu is a doctor therefore he lies?
After 20 years of much professional and private experience, I know that.
Be more specific please about your professional and private experience?
Yes there are blood tests for detecting the antibodies to the HIV virus, and there are blood tests for the viral load. My point is some people have a conspiracy theory that the government purposely infect the minority population with this virus. IMO, your Kwan, Yu, usfsa conspiracy theory is as believable as the AIDS is a government conspiracy theory.

I don't see what's so shocking about doctors lying
It is possible that doctors lie professionally, but when they lie professionally, they are taking a risk to lose their medical license, they are taking a risk to be disciplined by their medical board, they are taking a risk of their professional reputation. Unless they are totally stupid, I would think that they would weigh the benefits and risks before they lie professional. In this case, if people are spinning the theory that Leisure Yu is lying, then like I asked before what is the HUGE benefit that he may possibly receive for him to risk his medical license?? Just from reading his CV on the net, it seems like professionally he has a lot going for him, so what is the possible benefit given to him for him to take such a risk.
