"Olympic Ice" on the USA network

I wonder if Totmianina & Marinen and Zhang & Zhang will be on the U. S. Champions on Ice tour together this year. Last year it was T&M and Pang & Tong.

That was kind of interesting, BTW. In competition, T&M have a reputation of being rather unemotional and not reaching out to the audience. But on tour, at least the show I saw, they skaed exquisitely and with heart and the audience loved them.

Pang and Tong were equally popular (as a replacement for Shen and Zhao), and were impressive because they did not water down the technical content of their program for these exhibition-style skates.

Maybe Tom Collins will try to get the Olympic gold and silver medalists this time, although Shen and Zhou are still better known to American audiences than Z&Z.

Will anyone even remember TT's remark? No. All anyone will remember is that OGM. So, she got it out of her system. At least I hope she did!

Besides, I suspect her coach has been "u wuz robbed by the Chinese" for the past 4 years. Personally, I don't think they should have even been 4th, but nobody cares what I think. She sure must have been building up the vitriol along with the bile. Get that surgery, hon, and then EAT something you've been denied. You'll feel better in the long run. I know, getting the surgery and getting to add all those bad things back into my diet made ME feel much better!

Anyone watching tonight? ROTFLMAO! David Pelletier just told the world, in far more detail than I ever wanted to know, exactly what goes on when you're selected for a random doping test. Oh, good lord . . . I'm in stitches, but it also sounds pretty terrible. That drug test I have to do for work doesn't seem so bad now. And least I don't have to strip and pee in front of a complete stranger. (Though I still wish they'd just take blood.)

This man needs his own talk show. Jamie is stiff and tense, but David has been amazing!

I actually think both David and Jamie are quite charismatic and great on camera.

I was really disappointed that I wasn't going to be able to see this show, but I discovered last night that they I could download it from the video site, and have watched episodes 1-5. I also downloaded six but didn't have time to watch it yet tonight, and then hopefully I'll be able to download tonight's [apparently hilarious] episode sometime tomorrow.

I really hope one of the networks snaps up Jamie and David soon! Preferably TSN/CTV because they won the bid for the 2010 Olympics coverage, and if I have to listen to Rod Black for much longer, I might burst! Though he is better than he once was.

Well, as I post this the televised men's "battle" is over and Olympic Ice was right on the "Button" - Pluschenko, Lambiel, Buttle for the medals. Weir and Lycechek are 4/5.

I enjoy watching Olympic Ice for 3 reasons: 1.Kimmie 2.Kimmie 3.Kimmie

Gimmie Kimmie!!   .

I wouldn't pay to see them. Not into robotics and acrobatics. I like beautiful skating like Pang and Tong.

Maybe Inoue and Baldwin will get a chace with COI this year, based on their fine Olympic efforts. They are very entertaining in exhibitions.

I can't believe they just aired the whole Blero wining perfromance from Jane and Cristopher. This is the first time I saw it in big screen. It was so beautyful choreographed and skated. The moves all connected sooooooooooooooo smoothly and seamlessly. And WENT WITH THE MUSIC....I hope I had taped it.

What? You're kidding! The whole Bolero program?
Thank goodness I am taping. Can't wait to rewind and watch.
Thank you mzheng:thumbsup: for telling us.

You lucky soul. :)

I'm really going to miss having this much skating content on TV... I think we're getting spoiled this olympiad, I hope ratings hold up enough for them to do this kind of due dilligence next time around.

David Pelletelier is such a hoot! And its been very fun to watch mary carillo trying to pick up knowledge on the sport.

"Weir Eye for the Skate Guy"

Did you see it? Fabulous. Glad to see Johnny bouncing back a little. He seemed to have fun with Mary Carillo and Sandra Bezic.

This is the second time they've made a word-play with Weir and queer- first it was Dick Button, saying, "he's here, he's Weir," an obvious allusion to the gay lib phrase "we're here, we're queer, get used to it." Now "Weir eye". Very funny and coy. What's next- he's "Weir as a 3 dollar bill" ?????

The segment was fabulous just for the fact that they had it. They talked about the sad state of affairs re: figure skating fashions. They could have done more with it I think. They did give nice props to Evan for having a costume both understated and relevant to the music (long program).
