The new costume looks like a piece of art. So we see purple, blue & black when he is doing his camel spin. The effect is striking!

Patrick skips the first combo, does the 3A, DOES THE 4s a beautiful, straight and high jump with compact rotation like his 4T!!! SO EXCITING!!!!... then of course skips choreo... camel spin is nice... the 4T in the second half is flawless... skips some choreo and 3Loop .. does 3Lz combo and 3 Flip.... yea... the new footwork is nice.... it is busier but not too busy as i feared. Cannot wait to see it...

VERY promising!

Can't wait until tomorrow (technically Patrick will be practicing around 3 hours from now)! Started a new blog post to capture all the new colorful stuff!

On his practice video there was a moment when he nearly bumped into Javier, I think, and you can see him smiling. Then he quickly gets back to work.

Figure skating gods made a good decision to put Patrick in the last! You know it's like all field is the cake, and Patrick as a cherry on the cake! Just one clean skate.

Honestly, if this T-shirt is his new costume for the FS, i will be happy but is very simply, i don´t undertand why he wait so many time for a "new" costume...

Actually, this new t-shirt costume is quite clever and practical. It not only makes Patrick look like an artist, but it also looks very soft and comfortable. Also - very important - the reddish purple color is strategically placed to hide sweat stains.

Ever since he had so many changes - changes in coaches, training location, etc. I noticed that it's taken longer for him to make decisions on certain things. Maybe it took him awhile to decide on a new costume.

Unfortunately for me, I will be in rehearsal while Patrick is skating, but I'll keep up the best I can. Good luck to him and all the men today!

I think the "new costume" is just a practice outfit. He has many practice outfits but when it comes to competition costumes since Sochi............

Then again, you new know when it comes to costumes with Patrick these days. Anyway, this newly spotted top and pants would not be my wish for his LP. He deserves better.

Then again, my big wish is for him to skate clean with the 4S landed today. Go Patrick go!

Patrick had a very rough outing today.. but let's keep in mind a few things

1) CLEAN SP!!!!!!!!!!
2) he landed the 4S for the first time in competition and it's a beauty!
3) he has a new costume and TGee was correct, it's not black (pants) but a nice shade of grey-blue sort of deal

4) Patrick still performed until the end... kept trying after the missed axels and toes... he did get his lutz and flip that failed him earlier this year.

5) like everyone is saying, the medals are plastic

6) better now than at nationals 4cc and worlds

7) he took it very well... said he worked so hard on the 4S that his toe failed him.... and that he will work harder. I bet Marina will crack the whip

Yes. It's a process to the last competition at Worlds, and the Olympics.

Patrick accomplished a great SP and the successful 4S. :agree: I think he over-focused on these goals and forgot my wish for a good 4S in a clean LP. It's a mental thing and a learning experience. Next he will put all the success factors together. The Best For Last!
