Hi everyone!I am home from ladies SP. During the 5th Group I went out for a drink and ran into Patrick and Kevin. I asked for a photo but he was in a hurry. He said he has to go to the draw. But I was still happy to see him, because he was in a good mood. Smiling, happy face
and handsome as always...
Tomorrow men practice is at the main rink, so i am going to report.
Heading to the pairs now to cheer for Megan and Eric and Aljona and Bruno.
May Patrick be encouraged and motivated. And hopefully Patrick will give first aid, ie mouth to mouth resuscitation!![]()

Sorry you didn't get a pic with Patrick. But I think he had his priority right.
You'll have another chance.
How about them Canadian Ladies!![]()
May Patrick be encouraged and motivated.

Gabby and Osmond were wonderful. I waved my canadian flag for them. I am German and my canadian flag is twice as big as my german one
@4everchan: Next time I see him I will faint for fun and tell you if he knows how to give first aid.
VB, the men's times are listed in the third tab of the spreadsheet.
Latest article on Patrick. I didn't know that he had a minor injury - it made his coach Oleg feel bad...
http://www.trurodaily.com/sports/20...k-chan-focuses-on-his-own-game-at-worlds.html
Chan has changed up his practice protocol in Finland, and credits it to a minor injury he suffered two weeks ago in training. Chan was doing a backwards stroking drill — simple backwards skating — with coach Oleg Epstein, and strained both his hip flexors.
"Just the motion of pulling my feet in, somehow strained a muscle that I never use," Chan said. "Marina (Zoueva, his other coach) gave Oleg some trouble and he felt so bad."
Chan took the following day, a Wednesday, off completely and returned feeling refreshed.
"Thursday ended up being a great day because I was rested. I told Marina that when I'm rested it's actually a lot easier because I just feel lighter and sharper. So we kind of want to bring that here. Usually I treat the practices almost like training sessions, whereas now I'm pacing myself properly, getting myself prepared for the event, so that I can save my energy for the event instead of being kind of exhausted for the event.
He can't walk without these muscles! Hip flexors are major core muscles that connect the upper and lower body and are involved in just about every movement one makes. Good thing he recovered with just one day of rest and in the process discovered how to better prepare for a competition. (4everchan and I had a small discussion about this subject on another thread. Good for him in learning how to manage his energy well!
