I see that some of you are attending SC this weekend. Any interest in meeting up for a brunch on Saturday (around noon or so before the Ladies FS)? I hope Patrick can keep this one after the event as well... wishing him two beautiful skates ;) but somehow, I don't feel good. Sigh... Why do I get stressed out for Skate Canada more than other competitions?

Look to the left of this post -- avatar changed. :laugh: And this one is more all-purpose than the other one because Patrick will always be #1 to me. :)

Maybe you are extra nervous for SC because Patrick has been very open about how much pressure he feels at SC. All we can do is watch and hope. He NEEDS a clean SP to have any shot at being close to Yuzu. I hope Blackbird will allow Patrick to be far more consistent than MTK did. Then it won't be such a Herculean effort to get on the podium after the LP.

I can't watch TSN online so I need livestreaming elsewhere for Friday. Hopefully I'll find it.

I wish CBC has all the rights to all figure skating events.
 
So will there be a press conference tomorrow? There is a distinct lack of reports about Patrick this time around. There was usually a teleconference with him days ahead of a major competition. Actually there isn't much write up about anybody. I'm kind of glad there is less pressure on him. Let him be the chaser so he can kick a censored animal.

I want to see a new costume or two on him.

well.. if you are bored, you can do like me... i am now a quarter through reading this entire thread ;) interesting how back then people thought he was going to add the 4F, like I was suggesting ;) also I just relived the whole : who is going to be Patrick's new coach when CK was done... there's also extensive reports on patrick's fashion by no other than skaterboy really it's hilarious... it is like reading fan fiction of things that didn't end up happening ;) ... of course I am not yet at WC 2013 nor sochi... i am saving the hard moments for after Skate Canada.... it's true that we are another league, a completely different one at that of posters right now in this thread... but VB, you are a real trooper. I admire your longevity and fidelity to our Patrick.... I am sick today... not good... well i have been not so well for a couple days but today, it's when my body is flushing everything out i feel... my ear is about to unplug, I am finally able to breathe... so I am sharing this with you all because all I want is :

Patrick reading me a bedtime story like in that video...

I AM OBSESSED :)

You know, I've been thinking that everyone has been a bit quiet...........:scratch2:


We're not seeing the "I'm on my way", or "I'm at Pearson", kind of instagram or twitter postings across the board...

Makes me wonder if there was a general decision to have Skate Canada do the countdown using the photos from the High Performance camp, and let the skaters focus on getting themselves to the event and into "the zone."
