Patrick Chan

it's about trying something or not... i doubt it has to do with patrick... very hard to hear from my machine... anyone else??? i heard spike?
I heard "there's a spike on Patrick's shoe, let's get into a headstand or something" and then they decided against it.

I think the thing Dylan has on his head has spikes on it. He asks if he should do a headstand with it, someone off camera says no, Dylan says "xxxx says no". The xxxx sounded like "cassie" to me, but you're probably right and it is Patrick.

This sounds like what I heard. What we heard are complementary. The early part was not completely clear to me but the off camera "no" and "Patrick says no" were clear.

On April 28th, 2011, Patrick Chan became world champion for the first time. After a couple silvers in the previous years, he got dominant with mastering the quad toe which transformed him into the most complete and balanced figure skater: a skater able to deliver the most difficult jumps and yet, a skater with polished skating skills.

From 2011 on (well for me, it was from 2008 on) the world was graced by the beauty of Patrick's skating and its explosive, straight in the air, high and textbook jumps.

6 years later, after 3 world championships, 2 world silver medals 2 olympic silver medals, Patrick is still learning and improving. His traditional layout is no longer 4t-3t 4t 3a... and a couple 3lz.. but ladies and gentleman, watch out for 4t-3t, 4t,4s, 3a, 3a+whatever combo he does... we are witnessing a very special moment in figure skating, when a champion is pushing himself YET not diluting his choreography. Superb skating...

Patrick is one of a kind. Will always be. 4ever will Patrick be remembered as the ultimate skater.

Here is his ground breaking short program with the best score ever at that time, 93 and dust... on Take Five... a very intricate program nevertheless.

I was watching the SP and thinking "This looks like Baryshnikov on skates", and then at 2:18 they mentioned Baryshnikov and how Patrick watched videos of him! This is some pretty amazing skating!

by super young 19 y o patrick chan, in an era where PCS wasn't easy to get... he got just over 40 for this... nowadays, he would get a big whopping 47-48... people forget how young he was and how fabulous. glad you liked that.. (now go watch the lp... it's quite something too :) ) haha

4everchan, for remembering the sixth anniversary of Patrick's first world title. :agree:
Do you have a "This Day in Chiddy History" timetable or something? :agree:

Holy moly -- love the way he went motoring into the 3 jump combo. I'm a big POTO fan, so that gets extra points with me right away! :laugh2:...During the off-season when we're all crying about how there's no news about our favorites, I'm going to take certain skaters and watch all of their programs and go way-way back. Patrick will definitely be on my list!

and no.. it's not tattooed on my butt ;)

the truth is so boring...

on facebook... there is this " on this day" feature which reminds you what you posted X years ago on that specific day...

i click it every day because i have had such rock and roll years... and i can see the great moments and the struggles and it helps me make goals, helps me realize that perseverance will get me where i need to be, helps me focus ON THE PROCESS NOT THE RESULTS :)

so on april 28th, 2011 I wrote, From Brian Orser, to Kurt Browning, to Elvis Stojko to Jeffrey Buttle to PATRICK CHAN. Canada has a new world champion <3

That was my facebook status...
