Peter Jennings Diagnosed With Lung Cancer

ABC anchor Peter Jennings has been diagnosed with lung cancer. He will undergo chemotherapy and continue anchoring the news for now. Mr. Jennings has always been my favorite anchor of the "big three", I wish him the best. The face of news in the U.S. is certainly changing.

Did you know Peter Jennings is actually a Canadian? Yep, he was born in Toronto and took out his American citizenship, but has also retained his Canadian citizenship. So he has dual citizenship.

Lad, I did know that. Do you know if he is related to Lynette Jennings who does the home repair/decorating shows? She too is Canadian and I think she and Peter could pass for twins. I had also heard once that Peter was a high school drop out. IIRC I read it in Cosmo many years ago wnen he was best known as a forieign correspondent. Is that true, and if so did he go back to school in some way?

I think Lynette Jennings is from Michigan. Anyway, she is from the U.S. and studied architecture at the University of Michigan. She married a Canadian and moved to Toronto, then she decided to stay there after her divorce because she had already started a successful business.
