Random Confessions

Baby P is now super active running into everything Toddler P. In the last week, she ran into the edge of the kitchen table and fell on the asphalt of my in-laws driveway trying to outrun the (older) boys next door. She officially is sporting a shiner below her right eye, several scabs on her face (including her nose) and a big skinned knee..

Still hasn't really stopped her from running all-the-time.

It looks like she will turn 3 before the GP assignments come out this year. The GP assignments came out on my due date the year she was born. (Of course she was late, lol)

The Millennium countdown clock in my hometown has finally been taken down.

It was put up by a pub located on the main street, I think about a year before the turn of the Millennium. And there it stayed until a week or so ago.

The pub itself closed 11 years ago, and the Chinese restaurant next door moved into the premises (their old premises is now an Italian restaurant).

After the countdown ended, it continued working as a normal clock. I'm not sure when it stopped working, but since it did it got very dilapidated.

But, it was still there!

However, it has now been replaced by a sign advertising a funeral director's.

Admittedly, the sign is a lot tidier. But it is kinda sad to see the clock go.

I love trying to create dances. I have created choreography for 4 songs: "Transformation" from the Brother Bear OST, "5, 6, 7, 8" by Steps (I know there's technically a line dance version to this, but I created a partner version that's more fun in my opinion), "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" by Shawn Mendes, and "Under the Ladder" by Melovin. The latter two are fusions of different styles of dances. Some ballet, some jazz, some cheerleading dance (Which basically is some hip-hop...I think), and a bit of modern.

Keep going!! This sounds very cool :dance3:

I'm thirsty for FS so I'm watching this ancient anime about ladies figure skating called Ginban Kaleidoscope.

Skating club politics make me [emoji35]

Also- My coach had me try doing some difficult transitions into jumps today to get ideas for my new program. It was ‘entertaining’. [emoji23] Even though I wasn’t very good at some of them it was a good reminder why I love skating- I love the personal challenge.

It is too hot to think, I'm going for simple, old cheesecake with raspberries and cocoa tomorrow:)

I loooove playing ping pong. Just casually, mind, but I used to play when I was 10-11 and now the shopping centre where I live has free tables with bats and balls so I can play whenever I want

After knowing the Irish version of my surname for many years (due to seeing it on signs for villages which have the same name), I have only just found out that the Irish version of my first name is "Muirneachán".

Nope. I can't work out how you get "Gordon" out of that either!

I sometimes work with documents in Irish or bi-lingual version of documents being in Irish as one of languages and boy - when I compare word in English and in Irish I often scratch my head:), but it has a certain charm to it I'd say

I get peeved when I hear proper nouns being pluralized for the sake of discussion. Sports talk people do this all the time.

For example....

You’ve got your Lipnitskayas and you’ve also got your Kostners out there.

Or

Big federations like the Canadas and Russias beating up on the Turkeys of the world.

i still don't get the difference between "favorites" and "favourites", "color" and "colour", etc, i mean why there are two ways of spelling for the same word

I don't normally go into the Lutz Corner, but when I opened GS there now, I saw that the newest post in that forum was in a thread about practice wear. And I thought "oooh, I wonder if anybody is talking about Jenna McCorkell's clothing range".

So, I went into that thread and read through it. And I made a discovery that really shocked me...

A member who I had always thought was male is actually female!

Like, I know that it is easy to get caught out like this, and it has happened many times before. I normally just get a bit embarrassed and then laugh it off. But this time was different, because I had been totally convinced for a very long time.

How could I get it so wrong?!
