Random Confessions

I took 2 summer classes that ended last week. I got my grades today. An A- in biology of obesity and weight loss and a B+ in cell assays (A lab-based course). Finished 5 more credits. 5 more to go until I get my master's degree and then I'll be done with school forever!

Congratulations on your success at school. No thoughts of a ph.d?

Florida in Summer...Hell with Palm Trees.

Apparently Ottawa is trying to get Florida to hold it's beer. On Canada day (July 1st for those who are unaware) it's going to be 47 with the humidex. I might die in my airconless house so forget going to any events.

Tip from the Peas household: If you are having stomach issues try peppermint tea or chewing on a peppermint leaf. Very helpful for setting the stomach.

But avoid peppermint tea if you have acid reflux or (suspected) hiatal hernia. It relaxes the stomach TOO much if you have those conditions.

However I might get blasted for this, I can't stand choc orange taste! Chocolate and citrus fruits don't mix with my palette. :disagree:

Apparently De gustibus non est disputandum applies to the tongue as well...sometimes in more ways than one!

I love chocolate/cherry mix, in everything: cake, pie, ice cream, cookies, sweets of any kind. As for fruits & chocolate - when I was in Milan, I bought a dark chocolate with pear and cinnamon - it was AMAZING! I ate whole by myself and then fumed that I've bought only one:laugh:

I love Andes dinner mints and After Eight.

:drama: Mint Chocolate flavoured things are the greatest things on earth! :drama:

this forum needs a love reaction like Facebook!

I once had a choc brownie based peppermint cheesecake, OMG devine!

My Granny would agree with you all. It was her birthday last week, and in the couple of hours that I was with her, she had managed to get through half of the box of After Eights that I had given her! I knew she liked them, but I wasn't expecting her to go through them quite that quickly! :drama:

So, my dislike for mint clearly isn't inherited. It's just not to my personal taste.

I love chocolate with mint and with fruit (although I prefer white chocolate with fruit). I do not like chocolate on pretzels or pecan pie (I love pecan pie but no chocolate). Chocolate covered almonds are great.

One of the best things on earth imo are frozen sweet dark cherries. I eat them straight from the freezer. So good, especially on a hot day.

Chocolate cherry coke is AMAZEBALLS, btw. ;)

*Sigh* I just somehow gave myself a pectoral cramp using a hand whisk. :slink:

Edit: But I created a delicious masterpiece!

Double Edit: Well, the outside crusty-bit is a delicious masterpiece. The inside is too moist, and off-tasting.

I might not be very good at baking.

I just stumbled across some programming called "International Gymnastics" on SBS and it was rhythmic gymnastics, so I put it on in the background. And then suddenly there were five gymnasts on the floor and three had balls and two had ropes and they were throwing them at each other as well and I was !?!?!?!?!?!??!!?

Synchro for RG?

EDIT: OMG team Finland are doing "Mamma Mia". This is getting so much better.

I’m about to hit 15,000 posts :palmf:

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

Somebody's been a busy boy! ;)

I like to make my milestone posts special ones (e.g. my 1,000[SUP]th[/SUP] post; my 5,000[SUP]th[/SUP] post). But, I didn't notice when I hit 10,000. NNF told me in a PM afterwards! :palmf:

Thankfully, when I then checked to see what my 10,000[SUP]th[/SUP] post was, it turned out to be a cryptic reference to one of my favourite people in the world. So, that was a relief.

So, my advice to you would be to think carefully about what you write for your next post, so that you make this milestone post of your's a special one.
