Random Confessions

i don't listen to the words, if they have CC (closed captions) i turn off the sound, turn on the cc and ignore the writing and pay attention to the skaters, see if they can interpret their programs to me without the sound, just by their movements on the ice. see if i can get the jest of what they are skating too 1) costumes, 2) skating overall trying to convey to me while conveying to judgements.

that is why some programs stand out this year, 1) alina, 2)gabriella 3 bradies, 4) mariah, 5) evegnia, 6) carolina, 7) mai, 8) kaetlyn. 9) ashley,

Hoping to get to help out with Dallas Seavey's team again. He's gone through so much crap, really honored they reached out to me... just hope I can do what they're looking for! #IStandWithDallas

Confession: I spent so long looking through GS threads I almost burnt the pies I was heating up in the oven :palmf:

been here, done that:console:

I often get sucked in GS vortex and my cooking is suffering...

as NHK appears, as always I turn into bad employee who is calculating how to get Friday off to watch entire thing live:laugh:

Today, whilst in the middle of a call, I spent 5 mins walking up and down and pacing around my flat wondering where I left my phone. :hopelessness:

And then I discovered that because the temperature was too low, I'd accidentally frozen my yogurt... in the fridge! :slink: :sad4:

Alaska is beautiful especially the whittier area!

it looks like the issue with the Seaveys are far from over. Im glad lots of people support them.

Btw awesome blog. keep it up!

thank you! Yes Whittier area is nice, I've only actually been to Whittier once, the tunnel freaks me out (and it was closed for a long while last year because of safety concerns! )

I live in Kenai, so we have a little bit of everything. :)

 the issues surrounding Dallas are far from over. PETA and company messed with the wrong musher. He normally lets things slide, but someone drugged his dogs and he's being accused of dog abuse now, so he's on full alert. I've gone toe to toe with him over minor matters, they've definitely messed with the wrong dude. #TeamSeavey

Gosh, Tonichelle...your blog reaffirms my belief that PETA are evil, evil people.

they're awful. I've dealt with them throwing things "at the musher" (rocks, ice, sticks, etc) while the teams are running by. 16 dogs and a musher, basic math gives us a probability that a dog would get hit before a musher would, but they don't care. They will do anything to "win". They are not about the safety, healthy, or wellbeing of any animal, just about lining their pockets!

I'm getting really frustrated with one of my closest friends. She is under the impression that if I'm not at work I am free to do whatever she needs. Then she tries to turn it around as she's "helping" me because it was "my idea". Which makes no sense because if it was my idea I would be at home in my pjs doing absolutely nothing. That's what I like to do to unwind from work and life. It's getting to the point where I have no patience with her. She also says I never spend time with her. I get that she's lonely if she isn't with someone doing something, but that's not my idea of fun! Today is my ONE DAY in 3 months where I didn't need to be anywhere and she's throwing a fit that I'm not dressed and doing something I didn't even know I was "supposed" to do. I'm going to scream.

The rallying community here had similar issues with enviro-nuts a few years back when Rally Australia went to the north coast of NSW (a renowned hippy hotspot). They were throwing rocks at the competing cars as they went through the stages (because yeah, THROWING A ROCK AT A SPEEDING CAR IS A GENIUS MOVE), surrounding rally cars with their own cars, boxing them in and not allowing them to move, while the rally cars were on transport legs, and had even gone around and collected up roadkill for weeks beforehand and kept it in freezers so that they could produce all of the "dead animals the rally cars killed" during the event.

(The general consensus was that they didn't want the rally because with rallies come helicopters and then people might see and get pictures of all the illegal marijuana crops in the forests up there. Ironically enough, a month or two after the rally, the police did mysteriously bust several growing operations...)

Ugh! what a mess. People annoy me.

Just back from a drive up to the North Coast. And during our travels we managed to go past 6 eating establishments (read: chip shops) owned by Jenna McCorkell's family:

1 in Articlave
2 in Portrush
3 in Coleraine

OK, so the final one we passed in Coleraine hasn't actually opened yet, but we still passed it. ;)
