Kaetlyn was inconsistent before the injuries.
So are most skaters at 17-18. But have you looked at what she has done since her return!!!

Kaetlyn has now successfully completed all her existing jumps in her LP in competitions! Re 3/2/2, total best score for the element achieved was 9.15 (8.25 BV + .90 GOE), I think you best re-watch Skate Canada, chuckm, as once again your statement is not accurate.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVl6TjgSMxAAh, but at SC, she had worse errors: 3f+3t, 2a-to+2t, 3z!, 3lo<↓, 3f, 3s+2t+2lo, 2a
While watching the GPF ladies with a friend who is a longtime skating fan but not uber-technical, she said: "Osmond really is the complete package, isn't she?"
That, perhaps, sums up what Ryan was getting at: Osmond might not be the absolute best at any one aspect, but when you put it all together (big jumps landed with flow, edges, spin positions, speed, musicality, expression) she really does excel in a way that no one else on the current scene does.
Ashley was 6th at 2011 Nationals. She came into her own the next year, 2012, when she finished 3rd at Nationals. Later that year she made the GPF for the first time and won the silver medal. She made the GPF again in 2013 and 2014 and won bronze. In 2015 she once again made the GPF but finished 4th, but then won 2016 World silver. She'd been 4th at Worlds 2012, 5th at Worlds 2013, 7th at 2014 Olympics and Worlds, and 5th at 2015 Worlds. Given her consistent record of success year after year, I wouldn't say her World medal was shocking at all.
For that matter, the wow factor doesn't alway translate into great success. I remember seeing Zijun Li at 2013 Worlds, when she placed 7th just behind Gracie Gold and just ahead of Kaetlyn Osmond. Zijun landed 7 triples and had the wow factor in spades. Unfortunately, the puberty bug got hold of Zijun and she hasn't been the same skater since.
I'm reposting my first comment from early in this thread, because somehow I got accused of not "allowing" support for Osmond. Whatever ...
Okay chuckm, let's dance around your mis-steps by data dumping. Not very well played, btw.
It takes 2 programs doesn't it? Forget that 74 something in the SP, we need not speak of this. Kaetlyn recorded at SC 2016, the highest total score of any Canadian women ever, and at that time the second highest total score of the skating season. A 206 and change in October. Remember how you use to comment that she would never crack the 200 club? Ahhh memories...
Your smoke screens may work for some but they do get a wee bit tiresome, don't you think?
Canadian records are meaningless at the International level.
Overscoring has become rampant these days. And it is most rampant at two particular Grand Prix events: Cup of Russia and Skate Canada, and of course for the skaters from those two countries.

The reason Kaetlyn is so comfortable on the ice is due to the fact that she trains on a rink in the West Edmonton Mall. A public rink that is open to the public. Thousands of shoppers going by daily watching her skate.....this is what makes her comfortable and so relaxed on the ice. Also this is what makes Kaetly who she is, on and off the ice.....A down to earth girl with no pretences and put ons.
Dude, you need to stop. You are literally powered by your hatred for Canadians on this forum to chase around people and continuously tell them why they suck. You already mentioned you don't prefer her. Give it a rest. It must be very tiring to always be so hateful than to express happiness for skaters.
