Love the Derby, although I usually skip the pre-show on NBC which includes their CGI prediction of how the race could go (such a waste of time and money).

I'm assuming Johnny and Tara will be there in their hats and getups.

Patch has only one eye. He lost it before he ever ran in a race

Battle of Midway did not run as a 2-year-old.

Sonneteer has never won a race in 10 starts.

Untrapped has questions regarding his ability to run the distance.

Tapwrit has won on an off track.

Classic Empire's jockey is 0-9 in the Derby.

Thanks for this! Patch and Fast and Accurate are my favorites. (for reasons that have nothing to do with horse racing. ). Hansen was F&A's daddy... He ran the Derby a couple of years ago with a disappointing finish but was and is a star in my book... Also like McCraken very much but I think Classic Empire will win... I watch every year with one eye closed for fear something untoward will happen... :sad21:
