It was refreshing to hear that bad judging is part of figure skating. I mean Tara fans and Michelle fans were still going at each other after 10 years passed since Nagano.:)
Anyway even MLB decided not to make bad call part of the game, which is why they adopted instant replay. Problem with figure skating judges is they can use instant replay and still end up making bad calls. That's what drives skating fans nuts.

I don't know what happened between Tara and Michelle fans and Michelle and Sasha fans but I guess those feud were pretty much like feud beteen Spears fans and Aguillera fans.
But when it comes to feud between Yu na fans and Mao fans, it is more like feud between democrats and republicans. That's reason why Obama analogy is being used frequently.
Yu na fans believe she was robbed gold at world championship just like democrats believe republicans stole Florida in 2000, so it is no wonder yu na fans don't want same thing to happen again.
Now Mao fans started raiding youtube with those "yu na the lipper" clips just like "obama the socialist" by republicans and coincidently judge make "you gotta be kidding me" call.
Presidential election might be over but we may have another campaign until election, I mean olympic.

I think that it would be wise of Kim and Orser to fix her certain jumps in this season so, that in the Olympics if things are close, she does not need to be afraid of losing the gold medal because of a wrong edge....

I'm just not that invested in the current crop of ladies, or maybe i've just grown up and learned to accept that fandom or not - no skater is infallible. I like both skaters but don't love either. I suspect my not loving them is partly because they have to skate under COP and i haven't really loved any COP programs. But seriously does anyone think Yuna deserved gold in Gothenburg? Didn't she fall twice? I remember there being problems with both Lutzes.

Yu na had a fall in SP and popped a lutz in LP. Reason why yu na fans were upset with her placing was due to PCS (yes, it is real shocker:) Kostner got virtually identical PCS with Kim despite her messy LP performance and Mao had 2 points advantage over Kim in PCS despite she spent significant amount of time without doing anything afer her fall.
I also thought their PCS didn't make sense but I am not sure whether it would have made difference even if Kostner and Mao got PCS worthy of their performance.
In other words, it would have been borderline call which could have gone to either way.
You can't blame yu na fans for believing she was real winner in that competition just like you can't blame Kwan fans for believing Kwan was real winner at Nagano.

Now when it comes to that notorious "lip", we might need help from CSI to decide which side's evidence is more reliable but clearly ! in coc LP didn't make sense.
In SA, it actually looked like slight outside edge from video clip ( and yu na fans came back with their counter evidences, so we really need help from CSI crew) but her flip during coc LP was such a obvious inside edge that I don't know why Techinical panel gave ! to her flip.
I just hope judges make correct call when Mao skates. We might see hellgate open

Well the REAL results are what they are - you can look in the history books for that. Fan's opinions may differ. I consider myself and UBER Kwan fan, and I accepted the results in Nagano and believe Tara rightly gold. I happen to agree with the REAL result but am happy to hear the arguments that other wish to make that it should have gone to Kwan.

As to Yuna - i agree that Kostner should not have had the PCS she did, but am not sure whether that would change the result of worlds. Again, the REAL winner was Mao. Debates as to whether others agree with that or not are just that - debates.

people spend too much time on every little thing about Yuna. why do we have to care whatever her diehard fans say. can't we just focus on the skater herself?

I am not going tosaymuch, but if you don't believe racism/discrimination plays a part in sports--look into life. It plays into life so into sports.
Sports is more business now adays than sport. Once money got in (including sponorship/tv deals etc )sports is more business.
people nowadays are more aware of racism/discrimination in all facts of life --including sports.to say it isn't .it just being ignorant and sponsoring/ endorsing racism/discrimation in it most basicforms.
