yes they areWow, I didn't notice the Danes were in 9th place (only watched the last two groups).
They're coached by Papadakis/Cizeron's coaches right?

P/C are the only ones who make me watch ice dance right now. They give me the same feeling V/M did in 2008..
) connection that V/M have. None of the other couples do. There's something almost sensual about them that's really stunning to watch.I'm not angry
Just saying what I saw
Frustration maybe the best word. There is a mistake in the protocols for the Shibs. They got all the KP in the second PD, but only got L3.![]()
As I suspected, the difference is in the steps.
All this BS about politics. It's fairly common knowledge that Igor is the best technical coach in the world. His skaters proved it again.
Level 4's for everything.
The tech specialist who made the calls on levels is Canadian. The assistant tech specialist for this event is Russian.
How this translates into political maneuvering on the part of the Americans is beyond me, but by all means, continue to live that fantasy.
I'd have had it:
C/B
W/P
Shibs
P/C
I/Z
C/L
....But that's just me.
I find P/C extremely boring, and I'm amazed that anyone thinks the Shibutani's are capable of being World Champs right now, or even better than a pair like C/B?This thread confuses me in all kinds of ways, but it's been interesting reading tonight.
A moment please for Z/G. They will be MUCH missed.

(I know I'm going to be killed because of this) but I wasn't that impressed with the Shibs: they skated well, but I would never put them ahead of C/B or W/P
A lot of us thought that maybe B/S would be back, but they ended up taking the entire year off. Then S/K didn't work out the way anyone hoped. Heck, M/K were considered good bets for Sochi as recently as 2011 when they were world junior champs but right now they're fighting to stay in the top 10. So the Russians now have I/Z to lead the way, but M/K and S/B aren't stepping up. We'll likely see Russia get two dance spots next year. And if Yuko & Sasha don't deliver in pairs and T/M place decently, they might lose their three spots in pairs as well.
