2015 Worlds Ladies Free Skate March 28

In the worst-case scenario for Canada (wherein nobody else places below Gabby, leaving her in 22nd place), am I correct that Alaine needs to place 6th or higher to maintain our two spots for next year?

No, everyone who makes the free skate gets a max of 16 points, so Alaine only needs top 12.

nope… gabby earns 16 points.. so chartrand needs to be top 12.

Max placement points for getting to LP is 16, so Alaine needs 12th or better.

Oh my, German skaters. Final not reached in men's. Last in ladies. Second to last in pair's. WD in dance. There's a great deal to do.

If Savchenko/Massot can't compete next season, it's going to be tragic. Largest country in Europe after Russia. And they have a huge training base in Oberstdorf.

No matter how bad your song title is, it'll never be 'I Had Fun Giving Birth But I Have No Idea Who The Father Is'. Free cookie for anyone else here who likes Super Dangan Ronpa 2.

And :) for Joshi. Sorry for dragging visual novels into here.

So the Latvian 16-year-old beat the Canadian national champ...wow! (I feel very bad for Gabby, though.)

Apparent;y Gabby dislocated her knee two weeks ago. So under the circumstances, her weak performance is understandable, though very disappointing for her. Also, this will be the first time that Alaine actually beats Gabby in a head-to-had competition since they've been seniors.
