2015 Worlds Men Free Skate March 28

Nope. Japanese skaters always blame themselves...even when they do well. Sadly. expecting tons of apologies to the media from the 3 men.

That's true:biggrin:
It might be a good thing no to blame anyone, but sometimes that makes me sick watching too much apolpgies.

Uno's 4CC performance would have been enough for 4th. Adding an element to his WJC performances, it would have got him 6th.
Japanese Fed is the new Russian fed.
I am not sure about that, because pressure at WC is immense. If Shoma were there, no guarantee he would do well, maybe he would do worse.

I thought Shoma Uno didn't want to go to Senior Worlds and deliberately chose to Junior Worlds instead?

Looking at the WS points...it does seem like an odd choice. Getting 1st at Jr. Worlds is only about 500 points. Kozuka finishing 6th last year got him 756 points.

Is there a US judge on the panel?

No per chuckm's post elsewhere:

Per ISU Communication 1909:

The judging panel will include 9 judges selected from:

BEL
CAN
CHN
CZE
DEN
ISR
KAZ
POL
RUS
ESP
SWE
UKR

No USA, no JPN

I don't know which countries ended up on the panel.

It must be from Russia then... it is all relative. Jason deserve 10 compare to their own skaters.

Huh? If anyone deserves it it is Jason...

I love Jason to pieces, but I'm not sure if it merited a 10.. I might feel differently if his jumps were clean..but then again I don't know precisely what fills the bullet points.

Yuzu must be mad at himself now. But what to do when he was off-ice for 2 months after surgery & ankle sprain and only have 3 weeks of training. I wonder whether he should postpone the surgery, but since he already have the pain since GPF it was probably critical to have that surgery.

He wasn't the only one responsible for those 3 spots and it's not his fault both Kozuka and Mura did poorly in the short.
Anyway, congratulations to the medalists! :cheer: I hope the "Hanyu is always overscored/the new Patrick Chan" crowd can take a rest now.
