I would ask how did Rika get as high scores she did? She's usually a consistent skater but she's not that great and she had a mistake and a fairly lackluster skate generally. Her skating does nothing for me. She's way over-rated. How did Rika score higher than Kana?

As for your question, Kana was very off today. She most likely had a couple of URs. And she also popped a jump which could be more costly than a fall.

How did Rika score higher than Kana?

Kana didn't attempt 3Lz in her programs and popped her 3L. A downgraded combo is still better than not doing a triple at all.

Plus, the fact that Kana was inconsistent this season and didn't make the Words team might have influenced her PCS somewhat.

I'm worried about her too. She was coughing in the Kiss & Cry.

That was hard to watch. She needs more stamina or she could possibly faint. I hope she does recovers well for Worlds!
