Rika's 3T was so underrotated that she practically did three 2T's. But it seems she escaped the zayak rule.

I would ask how did Rika get as high scores she did? She's usually a consistent skater but she's not that great and she had a mistake and a fairly lackluster skate generally. Her skating does nothing for me. She's way over-rated. How did Rika score higher than Kana? I guess I must have missed that Kana had some serious errors or low levels.

Plus those tech box scores are so deceptive. Rika came off the ice with a total around 56, and then somehow it went up by 2 points, plus her PCS scores are overly high.

Zijun needs some major off ice stamina training big time. She's always running out of gas half way through her FS.

Mirai is now on par with the other women: Gracie had a decent Skate America, Ashley had a fantastic Skate Canada, and Polina had a great Nationals. Their other competitions? Great short and bombed the long or vice versa. Or both in the same competition.

Um, Gracie was 1st after the SP at TEB. Now granted, we'll never know what might have happened in the free skate there, but the record states that she won that short program, as well as her silver at Skate America, so that's a pretty good season.

I hope Kanako puts it together one day. Just love her expression even if the jumps aren't there.

The British Eurosport Guys said something on her short, they think she is reworking her jump technique. And I can definitely see that too. She isn't quite there yet. But it is getting better. As she had basically put this season behind her already I think it was an okay outing and a great SP. I wasn't really surprised that it didn't work in the LP, but I do think she can make it work again. I'm curious about her next season.
