I was ahead of you. I already welcomed littlelithium who honoured us with the GS debut post in January.

Yes, yes, anything you can report, preferably with pictures, littlelithium. Any last minute info on live streaming will be extra appreciated and welcomed.

My bad! I clearly wrote the right stuff in detailing the schedule. Late night typing, man. I am clearly not a pianist.

Not a problem! I was :scratch2:, that's all. You and me both, night owls we are!

Photochan Post

I wonder who the lucky recipient of the flowers will be?

Hmm... how about let's shower him with flowers instead? :thank:

Thank you so much! I hope you don't mind me putting some of what you post on my fan site. Enjoy the spectacle! :)

i should have known you would have done so, since you are the expert on pills :) lol

no damage welcoming someone twice after a long break :)

Because I know enough about pills, the violet pill was the only pill I took in 20 years. Also, I think more about the mineral than pills when I see the word lithium, as well as batteries, mines, and Bolivia. :)

However, littlelithium would probably be more associated with Finlandia than batteries. :) It seems s/he will be the go-to person for Finlandia reports. So, double welcome is definitely not too much.

Haha, thanks for welcoming me twice!

The livestream for Finlandia is at their official website.

And I don't know if that's okay to share here but I go by 3flip3loop on Twitter, so the updates will go there first.

Talking about the costume, last season (at least at the GPF) Patrick skated the morning practice before competition in his costume, so he might do the same here.

I'm very excited about the 4S and looking forward to his free, so I'll see how fast I manage to get the news out!

Great! I will follow you there - look forward to your updates!

Here's my brief Finlandia preview post:

Where the Blackbird Flies: Stop 1 – Finland

The biggest thing I regret not finding out sooner is about the knitting challenge! I didn't know that we could knit flower mittens and send them to the Finnish Figure Skating Association, otherwise I would have tried to make some! How nice that someone will get to present their hand-knit mittens personally to the winners, too. I expect to see Patrick wearing a nice pair of fan-knit mittens this weekend. :)

Blueberryhill, you were right about Patrick holding flowers - except they will be on his mittens!

Wow. Thank you for this post. It's so informative *-*
I feel that Patrick's new season soon will begin, and I fell tremble on anticipation *-* So want see him on ice

Thank you, Ayara. I was just thinking of you this morning! :) I added the Google Russian news feed to my site, even though you won't see anything on the sidebar until new articles show up. Also, I will hopefully be able to add a better Russian translation to the site soon. It will still be machine-translated but better.

I can't wait to see what happens this weekend, too! My friend jokingly created this poem:

"Our blackbird will be taking flight soon
Let's hope he wings the competition
And leaves the rest behind!"

since some of us cannot do photochans as gorgeous as blueberryhill maybe we can write poems :) Photochans & Poetrick :)

I am in no way inspired at this moment, but will try later... though I don't guarantee anything as I am ESL :)

Patrick's team from Arctic Edge wishing him well - so nice!

He's still wearing his shorts, too. Let's see if he wears them in Finland as well....

Lol, "Poetricks" and limericks, we'll write 'em all! And yes, please do write them in both languages. I once had to write a poem for French class in high school - lots of fun!

I second the poem request in French. He can understand French quite well, so he should enjoy it too. :)

I spy a camera person at the rink. Could we perhaps hope for some live streaming?

I dug up the archived threads for the event in 2015, it had a livestream just geoblocked in Japan that purchased the broadcast right for the country. That means we can perhaps see HD quality videos of Patrick later.

The stream may be the same link. http://www.finlandiatrophy.com/

Does anyone know which coach will be there with Patrick?

Maybe Epstein? I doubt, that Zoueva could be with him...
I hope, that he wouldn't be alone

Two dance couples from Canton are competing at Finlandia, along with Patrick.

My guess would be that at least one coach is accompanying all of them.

It is at least the third year of fan knitting for Finlandia, and one of my favorite parts of following the competition always is looking at the online photos of the beautiful mittens -- and of the skaters showing off their new keepsakes :luv17:.
I have been wondering whether the Finns will carry on the tradition for Worlds in Helsinki.
I hope so.

Let me know if your group's VK link changes, so I can update it on my site. I don't mind you reposting with a link to my site. Also, if your group wants to write a comment on my site, they can write it in Russian, of course. :-)

I hope so, too! If they do this knitting challenge for Worlds, I could start learning how to knit one and send it there in time!
