2017 U.S. Nationals Championship Men FS

Wow! Is that a first for 5 quads?

Anyways, USFS has a tough decisions for the worlds second man...Vincent doesn't really have great components with poor posture but Jason has no quad...

Well at least we have our first entry for jr. worlds for men I think....

And the best is Nathan can still improve! He lost levels on two of his spins and flubbed one of his triples. Now, I think Nathan can beat everyone and maybe even Yuzuru!

Oh boy.... Here come the Yuzuru fans.

I'm really anxious to see the international broadcasts of this...particularly the Japanese commentary!

Is that Raffy and Marina on the same bench?

Marina was not in the Kiss and Cry with Nathan.

ETA:
I was wrong to originally say: "I believe the woman with Nathan and Raf was Raf's wife, who herself is a coach."
Thanks to temadd for providing the correct identity.

In any case, definitely was not Marina, who looks completely different.

I'm really curious who will be sent to Worlds. I quite dislike Jason's programs... but I think I'd rather have a chance to change my mind about them than watch Vincent... Huh.

How can any man come close to Nathan? He has t locked up. Even if I'm nt a huge fan of his *ahem* skating ...he's guaranteed to win at least every nationals at this point.
Feel the same..this is Chen's best skate ever. First time that I loved his landings and he will probably win nationals year after year. Yet I'm still not totally into his skating but I wasn't originally a fan of chan, hanyu or fernandez either.

Maybe he could try backloading and adding transitions 🎌😉

That lady sitting at Kiss & Cry reminded me of an actress, perhaps Léa Seydoux

So I really like the element counter but how do they assign the red/yellow color? Is red negative GOE? Then what's yellow?

So just for some perspective:

Bavarian Open is Feb. 14-19
Jr. Worlds is March 13-19
Worlds is March March 29-April 2

Basically Vincent Zhou would be doing 3 competitions in a 1.5 months. That is a lot.

Congratulations to all the winners! Also special shout-outs to Alexander Johnson, Sean Rabbitt, and Jordan Moeller, whose programs I really enjoyed!

I'm so not subscribing to Ice Network next year...they can't even broadcast the flippin' awards ceremony without stopping every 5 seconds. This is ridiculous. :disapp::disapp::disapp:

Essentially:
Red = negative GOE/failed element
Yellow = under review
Green = positive GOE

Yes, NATHAN THE GREAT!!!!!!

I think with those two skates and a good USFSA push he can very much challenge for the Gold in Helsinki. I will be all for that.
