Really enjoyed reading this from your blog:"I chose this post’s title not only because “Blackbird” was Patrick’s short program music this season, but also because we all have broken wings and should learn to fly with them. My own fears can be some of my worst broken wings. Patrick Chan chose to conquer his fear of competing instead of letting it win out. “Blackbird” doesn’t say, “Fix these broken wings and learn to fly,” but rather, “Take these broken wings and learn to fly.” So, take your fears and fly anyway. You never know how many lives you might touch in the process, just like Patrick Chan touched mine."

Haha, Patrick is the only figure skater I've ever blogged about, too, and it's not terrible at all that you only take time for him, as I do. That's why on Twitter it's much easier for me because I generally limit the scope of my tweets to Patrick only. Besides, he's the only one I have directly encouraged and cheered on, even though I wish all skaters the best!

I invite you (and anyone else here who wants to do it) to guest blog on my site regularly! :agree:

so i will make this one okay :)

i have complained about patrick playing the piano stiffly here's the proof ;)

I wish i could teach him ;)

i value all posts here.. i just saw "other threads" where people really filled in to make it bigger but never I have seen that here...

and actually : it's not a crime to add some silly banter ;)

I just love this thread so much , just as is, with all of you guys, newer visitors as well as the ones who were here from the beginnings..

THANKS for making this experience of being a Patrick fan so awesome...

and wow the talent in this thread... from photochans to blog posts, to finding the best links for swooning

Other than being around to contribute during WTT and anything else I might find out going into the new season, I just wanted everyone to know that I probably won't be posting here as much, since I'm more of a banter and thread counting lady poster as far as this thread goes.

Just wanted to make that clear before you all wondered where I went.

this thread in the Edge mentions an article about Patrick....

the article says what we knew already : that Patrick wants a healthy life after skating and won't follow the quad craze at 26... so a few of us including our favourite rabbit ;) spoke up because it's not really news and nothing dramatic.

However, in the article, i noticed this
said Chan, who hopes to add a quad flip to his repertoire in time for the Olympics.

i mean.. i have been dreaming about seeing him land a 4F just because it's so nice... when well done (and Patrick's 3F is the prettiest of them all) so i am dreaming with eyes wide open... BUT... is this the first time he is actually saying this to the press? DID I MISS SOMETHING?
 
I've never heard of this author - Pritha Sarkar. I did a google search and she(?) has written a few other figure skating articles about other skaters this month. I looked it up because I wanted to know if I could believe the comment about the 4F. At this point, I don't know.
