Patrick Chan

that one is nice too but the difference is that patrick, on the wedding picture, has had some sun and his skin has this gorgeous tone ;) like a gold medal ;) he is glowing...

if you prefer patrick with the very pale milky skin, then sure the world banquet one wins ;)

he cleans up so well ;)

black tie is definitely good on him....he is also cute with bow ties. i just wish he stopped the plaid shirts ;)

Isabella Tobias and her fiance Samuel Lites got married this weekend, guess who was there?

I won't be attending Nationals because I intend on going to 2018 GPF in the same city but I will be at Skate Canada this year to catch Patrick before he ends his competitive career. His live skating is intoxicating and originally I didn't plan to go to another competition until 2018 GPF but I really wanted to see him competitively again. I've seen Patrick live twice in shows and once in competition (Skate Canada 2016) but there's just no comparison. Plus I've never been to Regina before so might as well see some new places while we're at it.

Great! That will be an exciting competition between him and Shoma!

omg... patrick is so handsome:luv17:

How about here?

Hey guys, I've just managed to catch up and read with the whole thread, and just wow. I've always believed that Patrick was a great skater, but reading everyone's thought on him made me admire him so much more.

I've just been recently a fan of Figure Skating, and I admit I may not know a lot yet about the other skaters although I'm trying to keep updated with them all or at least as much as I can. Patrick though, well I made it my point to take a crash course about him (in a not so creepy way) ever since I watched him skate. There's just something so fluid and emotional in the way he skates, and his edges are just so good. Literally, poetry on edges.

Anyways I hope he can finally get his olympic gold because he really deserves it, and its about time Canada finally gets it as well for the men's category.

Welcome to the Patrick fan fest Potato on ice!! Nice to meet you and Pat definitely is poetry on ice!! Post long and post often!!
BTW I love your username!!

Well, it's about time we get a potato here among all the fruits! :) Welcome to the fest, POI!

I wonder what made you as a fs newbie decide on Patrick as the first or one of the first to admire and to get to know better. Would love for you to expound on that. It's admirable and a show of dedication that you went through the whole thread!

You may find this Patrick fest quite different from most fan threads and sites. We don't do creepy or mommy as much :) but a lot of celebrations, analyses of his skills, performances and psych, besides the usual gushing  as on all fan threads/sites. :) We tease and banter with each other too. ;) With affection. So don't be turned off! :)

welcome Potato on Ice !!!!

Isn't it interesting to see how this fan fest evolves over the years!!! I had a hard time reading the Sochi times but managed to get through it as well ... i think the last 2-3 years have been so different on here because we are just so grateful that he is back.

poetry on edges that is such a nice description of Patrick's magic

I concur with Violet Bliss (btw there are some flowers among the fruits too!!!) in the sense that I am curious about your process. No pressure but I'd be delighted if you shared with us what brought you in to read 646 pages as a new fan! Some of us also have read the entire thread but as long time fans of the sport... at least one of us here was there from page one (the flowery one)....

Again, a warm welcome !

Fruits flowers and crazy animals. ;)

I'm not a flower. I'm a state of mind.

Wouldn't mind being one of the fruits and crazy animals or a potato. All belong in this beautiful world of love. But not the devil.

Welcome, Potato on Ice!!! It's always wonderful to see a new username pop up in this thread. And I love your description of Patrick's skating as "poetry on edges." :agree:

As you know, 4everchan, I used to come here sometimes and worry/vent. Now I don't care about the naysayers and I let the rude comments go (mostly by not reading them at all). I come here now to discuss and celebrate. That was harder to do before because Patrick was so tense in the lead-up to Sochi (2013 onward) and it felt like it was ALL about the OGM (or nearly so). Now Patrick focuses first and foremost on good skating, and so do we. I fully agree with the sentence in bold!!! :2thumbs: I've also read all 646 (now 647) pages, but I had a lot less to catch up on. My first post here was on page 103 (and yes, I remembered that without looking it up ;)). I love this thread so much!!! :)

Fruits flowers and crazy animals. ;)
Gosh, my unsername feels incredibly non-creative now.

You read the WHOLE thread?? Wow! I applaud you and welcome to the fan fest!!:clap:

Ha, the Blackbird is omnivorous, so he will eat you all! ;) That is, when he's not making goofy faces scrunching his nose up at the cameras...

----------------------

Well, it's no surprise that Patrick is at the top of the Canadian national rankings, with 972.63 points!

How about let's work toward 972.63 pages here at the fan fest? Can't be too hard! :)

Welcome to Patrick's Fan Fest . I know you will enjoy this thread and please post often. It's an honor you share your first post with us on Patrick' FF :):agree:.

No no no! Black Bird loves blueberries so a blueberryhill should be a favorite place for the black bird to visit, enjoy and be nourished. It offers so much and just may be the best home for Black Bird. Stay with us as blueberryhill.

I second this!:agree:
