That's an ugly thing to say about people in their late 20s and early 30s. I think it's rather inspiring that instead of letting themselves get pushed out of the sport because they're above the average age of competitor, all three fought and put up seasons best skates which included quads.

It's fine to be disappointed about your faves, but don't take it out on skaters that didn't do anything wrong.

That said, congrats to all the medalists, and particularly to Adam on his birthday!

I'm not sure Max is against a tougher field than Adam? Max is up against Fernandez and Uno, true. Adam is up against Jin, Chen and Voronov again.

I apologize for not realizing it was a joke. I've just seen a good amount of (IMO) ill-deserved criticism of the medalists on this forum and on twitter and I assumed that was another underhanded comment as well.

I'm not sure Max is against a tougher field than Adam? Max is up against Fernandez and Uno, true. Adam is up against Jin, Chen and Voronov again.

It's a bit stacked at TdF because you have more GP medalists with Bychenko Samarin, Shoma, along with Max. Plus Javier will be there too and I expect he'll actually play spoiler since we know his performance at COC was due to sickness.

I think other than Shoma and Nathan, I think it's hard to say who is going to get those other GPF spots. Jason technically still has a chance. If I was going to say who has a more probably chance of getting them, I'd say Sergei, Adam and Boyang at SA.

Emoticons are always helpful. Keep in mind that for some people it's super early in the morning so some visual cues are helpful.

But, seriously there is absolutely nothing to be jealous about. SA is the only event I can go because if I leave US there is no guarantee that I can get visa for coming back (this new administration and you know what is going on). I have not seen my family for three years and I'm dying for hugging my mom just one more time. All this love for skating and Yuzuru and competitions and ... is just a means to distract myself and to keep going. So, no, don't be jealous.

It's okay. No hard feelings. If you have been here long enough, you know my posts are always tongue-in-cheek, just to get people to laugh. There is never any ill-intention towards the skaters (maybe only to the judges).

Exactly. SA will be a really interesting event. Some people would like to minimize Adam's accomplishments, and even set it up ahead of time. It happens quite frequently on the forum.

I am perplexed myself. All due to them both for fantastic jumps. And Mikhail has emerging artistry. But for Sergei to surpass Adam Rippon in artistry at the NHK FS is ludicrous. Is there some course the ISF can give judges to teach them the difference between landing a jump and truly demonstrating excellent performance and expression?

what's the most important for me - he seems to write that kind of poem by himself and living it out in his own manner. What turned me into his skating was him embracing all he has and the authenticity in him - the way he started to do his stuff got much more sincere and real, which did him better than anywhere before.
