Ashley's score felt way too low.

Caroline Zhang
Strong flow-out on the 3F but a high-kick technique. Step-out on the second 3Lo in the 3Lo+3Lo combo (second 3Lo might be <). Great center on the spins. Nice change of edge spiral. Okay 2A but great layback spin to finish.
Overall, there were more steps in the choreography for her. Zhang could still work on moving with her core and getting the momentum from the knee bend on the turns. She could have more speed and expression, but she has a fairly clean performance today.

Yeah I'm super excited for her.
I hate Nationals judging. It bears no resemblance to actual scoring at the international level....Ashley got a lower PCS here at nationals than she has gotten for YEARS on the INTERNATIONAL circuit for a program that was better than most of those international skates. I'm sorry, that makes ZERO sense...Mirai too, her PCS was in line with her international PCS but then Bradie gets like 3 points more? We complain about Russian National judging but at least they are inflated across the board versus biased towards a single skater....Ashley has consistently been robbed at Nationals, getting PCS well lower than what she gets internationally (this was the same thing last year). The USFA is so biased it is ridiculous..get your PCS judging in check, instead of propping certain skaters.

I mean do you honestly think that her sp was really the greatest ladies sp to receive the highest score ever?? They are saying it with her scores

People wondered if there'd be some PCS penalty for reusing that program again. There's your answer.
Hahaahaha. I have f.lux (a color graded filter after sunset) so I can't say.

Ashley? If she skated clean, I think her PCS would’ve been sky high.

The fact that the the ladies' highest SP was 73-something says more about the fact that the U.S. ladies generally blow / the judges deflate PCS.

Actually the USFSA has spoken loud and clear about hyping up Bradie - through her score here.
If you take a look at Mirai's international scores, and Bradie's, it's very clear that Bradie was inflated big time. And Ashley was actually scored down compared to that too. So USFSA wants Bradie for the new queen.

Is it just me or are Vivian's tights a really odd color? They're almost pinky-red.
