2018 US Championships Sr. Ladies FS

unfortunately A LOT of people died in pursuit of it........... at least on the skating end of it :slink:

thats a reason i dont like the analogy
at least the rink is not covered with dead bodies every time men skate, which would totally happen if quads were like Everest.

I was wondering what the official reason for withdrawing was, too. If I were to speculate, I doubt she ever planned to skate her free skate. She knew she couldn't do the FS competitively, but she wanted to skate in her hometown and be in the spotlight once more, so she practiced only her SP and skated within her limits and doesn't embarrass herself in the FS.

I just can't agree with this.....If it were anywhere else but San Jose, I might believe it but, she has a TON of fans here in Central, Ca. and so does her coach Rudy Galindo. All of her college friends were there to see her and I can only imagine how much she wanted to skate for them. Trust me, we are ALL talking about it at this very moment.....

Finally I can join you, thanks to my husband who just went out with my sons.
Who's performance do you recommend to catch up, so far?

Wow, is there some secret these skaters have to looking so great years after retirement.....Kristi, Michael, Rudy, Michelle :eeking:

they all look almost just as they did during their competitive years

Actually... Kristi Yamaguchi looks a million times better now than in 1992 :rofl2:

I just went to the Edea booth to take a look and these skates are even uglier and boxier in person. They must be super comfy since they are so popular

I found it surprising too. I watched the USFSA rinkside reactions video posted on Youtube and she seemed super confident, positive, "couldn't wait" to do her long. It seems weird. :slink:

I think the foot has been bothering her for some time and is the reason we haven't seen many toe jumps.
