2018 US Championships Sr. Ladies FS

This seems ridiculous?? TES on an Evgenia/Alina level?? PCS higher than Ashley??

Does anyone know what Bradie’s score will roughyl translate to in an international competition?

Yeah, well, i dont want to comment on that. Cause Bradie did very well and deserved to win, no doubt. Just realistically, try to not have the highest hopes with this team :cool14:

I honestly didn't expect Ashley to be so close though...maybe if the judges weren't so stingy with her PCS then she should've beat Karen.

But with the results we have now, I think sending Karen would be a fairer choice (and would create less uproar too).

They cannot possibly elevate Ashley to the Team for the second time. I just can’t imagine.

I am thrilled with the result and so proud of the Top Three. Good luck Bradley, Mirai, and Karen.

i dont understand what huge edge karen has over ashley...she's had 2 terrible GP events and couldn't put it together until now. not that ashley had a stellar season but at least she medalled. not to mention like 2 points separated them tonight.

Just what she needs though. I think she could have scraped by with the lutz and the flip but they might be sending her a message to fix it quick
True, she needs to fix it. I kept yelling, "Rotate, Karen, rotate!" [emoji23]

But the panel seems a bit... inconsistent in who they decide to hammer.

They might do what they did in the Japanese...whichever one of Karen-Ashley don't go to Olympics go to Worlds...I feel like that would be very fair IMO considering they were that close.

She'll get 140 at best in international competition, sad that USFS wont give Mirai her 2nd title

Bradie would be much closer to 140 internationally much more than Mirai would :confused2:

Mirai's program was completely empty and focused on getting the jumps done and nothing else. Bradie's program, while not the most sophisticated, was pack with transitions. It's silly to think Mirai would beat Bradie tonight if this were international competition.

And now Bradie goes into Korea, and likely next season, as the undoubted US #1. Her marks will only get higher

The Wagner situation reminds me of the two years Abbott was pushed off the world team, in the sense the PCS scoring wouldn't be replicated in any international comp.

Imagine if Mirai had laid down her perfect 8 triple free from practice tonight though... alas

There was a lot of pressure on her tonight. I’m super proud of what she did this week! She’s made my year, and it’s only the January 5th!

Ash just won worlds silver...think these skaters will be on a worlds podium?

LOL, they will be lucky if they are in the top 10; Braedie has the TE, but will have low pcs; Mirai should do the best of the 3; of course everything depends on what the Russian ladies decide to do
