No Inner Love for Jason ? :drama:

Jason has gone back to “The Piano” for this comp, and as much as I love the Piano, I do hope he brings back “Inner Love” next year.

But hopefully the gorgeous costume he premiered at Nats is staying:luv17:

Based on what we saw on the short, I think Boyang is in the zone right now... All his jumps were flawless done with precision. His confident on his technique and not doubting it when he lands his jump. He's not second guessing it. He is peaking at the right time indeed!

All that to say, he could very well out-jumped Shoma here and WIN the title. Shoma should skate his best to hold off Boyang's TES. If not, his PCS may not be enough if he leave some points on the table.

What do you think?

Boyang's double World bronze medals speak the volume as he tends to peak in the most important event of a season compared to his competitors. The short shows that Boyang starts peaking his condition, so we had a great competition yesterday. I hope his best showings are delivered rather at the Olympics and Worlds than here although if he wins, he will get a great momentum heading into the Olympics. However, men's events are so unpredictable, so I don't rule out Shoma does a great skate combining both TES and PCS in the FS.

i totally agree - i'd love to see the guys skate their best at olympics, the biggest stage of any athlete's career

for now, i'd love to see the men skate wonderfully in the FS (they did very well at SP so far). i'm very impressed with how well the skaters are doing at 4CC so far

the men's field is always so unpredictable and we never know who the winner will be until the very last minute (it's what makes the event exciting, i guess)

BTW, I love the feature on Time in other Places that Doris has added. Very, very useful.

Good luck to Elladj and Kevin and (someone said) Mura. I believe this is their last international competition. I hope all three of the skates of their lives.

Best part of Olympic season: The excitement of the Olympic competition.
Worst part of the Olympic season: How many skaters retire after it is over.

I just realized the men's last group will start at 7:30am for me. On a Saturday. I'm not actually sure I'll be awake and alive enough to watch this. :eeking:

I'm on the Boyang train. He's really improved a lot from being a gangly, clumsy skater with some hard jumps to having the overall "skating package." I just don't get the allure of Shoma. His jumps usually look eked out with a very low free leg swinging around, and he still looks like a little kid in a velvet catsuit.

Oh, thanks for writing that down, xeyra. For some reason I thought it would be similar timed to today's (yesterday's) Ladies event. *_* Gotta pay attention here in Europe. ;)

Oh my God. Here it's going to be 5:30am . I'm going to bed now but I think that's, even for me, kind of a lot.:slink:

After waking up at 3 a.m. to catch the last two groups of the men's SP. I'm so delighted that the men's FS starts at 8:30 p.m. my time. Going to drink and eat wings.

I'm hoping for good skates from everyone and let the chips fall where they may.

I've got bad news about the Olympics for you....:bed: Maybe we should start sleeping already. At least the Men are at the weekend.

I'm still trying to figure out how to survive the Olympics. At least I'll probably be in some sort of trance during the skates of my faves, and hopefully that'll help with my nerves.

You need to increase the quality of the sleep you get in exchange for the lack of quantity. For example, get a new pillow if you haven't replaced your pillows in the last 8-12 months.

I'm going to mentally prepare myself. No matter how Kevin skates tonight....well it'll be 12 something or 1 something in the morning where I am when it happen, I'll enjoy it and savor it.

And good luck to all the other guys skating tonight!

Men's FS starts at 3:30pm here.

Andrew - go on, then, set your fourth personal best in four days!
Brendan - kick all of the butt! skate clean! force them to score you higher!
Jason - slayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
Max - enjoy, skate with freedom and light, and then turn around and reassure us you'll be back next year, please....
