2018 Four Continents Mens FS

I have to admit that I though the same thing. That program could win gold.

Although that yellow could just swallow up the gold medal and you won't be able to see it properly! He should go with red or blue or something like that.

Here comes Keiji!

besides the fall that was really nice :)

Question to the people here who are a little better with the scoring than me - a newbie:

Something I always wonder with Shoma is that his leg extension of the free leg after he lands the jump seems often very low to the ice - I mean I know he's small and all that plays into it, but its sometimes low enough to make me worry that he'll touch down.

Is a higher leg extension something that is somewhere in the GOE or TES score/is that wanted?

Also, regarding "cheated jumps", have you been watching Koola King videos?

In terms of skaters with cheated jumps, I would say Shoma is the number one skater that comes to my mind. He makes Evgenia look like Yu-Na with perfect jump technique...every single jump is prerotated more than half a rotation, and a number a underrotated on top of that. And his lutz takeoff its one of the most inside edges I have even seen (even worse than Evgenia's), well it's moot anyways cause he stopped doing it.

Shoma unintentionally will sabotage the first skater in final group because his costume will cause puddles in the ice during warm-up.

Better extension on the landing can give slightly higher GOE... but the deep knee bend shows that he is in control of the landing, which judges (and I personally) like. It's not a deduction if the free leg isn't touching the ice.

Keiji's TES is the same as Jason's. Jason might get the edge for bronze. Those pops and spin/step levels were costly.

I can't take this circus-like junior-as hell music. Were there like 7 music cuts or what omg who picked this music  My ears are bleeding

A bit messy.

Max was six points behind Tanaka after the SP - he has a 5 point lead on TES in the FS - but I feel like this one isn't going to go Max's way...

Jason into 3rd for sure at the end of this competition, granted Boyang don't bomb! Congrats!!!

A bit of a mixed skate for Keiji - some lovely jumps, but lots of jumping issues too. Unfortunately, this program did not work for me at all. It should have been fun and engaging, but I saw zero personality/performance from him, and I kept spacing out. Someone like Javi or Jason (or even Nam) would have done a much better job with a program like this.
