I swear as this event gets closer and closer I get more and more JessicaDubeLovesScottMoir about it. If P/C beat V/M I might lose all sense and reason and fully believe that there are two secret babies.

So I’m currently the passenger of manfriend’s truck, zooming down highway 401 through Toronto. We went for dinner at his parents’ house and I didn’t realize how close to skating time it was! “We are 67 kilometres and 42 minutes away from your house, speed it uppppp!!!”
Yuzudaughter in the back seat: “Yeah, hurry it up, if mom misses her REAL boyfriend Andrew Poje bork his twizzles on live TV, she’ll be so mad!”
..... now I’m having a conversation about the definitions of “bork” and “twizzles”.

If the team event was a preview it seems like the caller will be very strict. If that's the case I do not mind. Everything will likely come down to levels.

What?! I was going to watch that tonight.
I was watching the men's event and the final group was about to go onto the ice and the stream abruptly cut out and a message came up and said "Unless you have a time machine, this content does not exist." And I was like "explicit word." So I had to change to the NBC Olympics stream.

Surprisingly, it’s not too bad on a Sunday evening. It’s the weekday rush hours when traffic is always guaranteed to get ridiculous.
Today Yuzudaughter wore her new skates for the first time to break them in, they’re her second pair of Edea overtures. Usually that is kid is always on her arse when she’s on the ice, but just gets up and carries on like it’s nothing, meanwhile, if I ever fell even once like she does on the regular, I’m sure I’d be dead. Somehow, she only fell twice in the entire 90 minute session, which is a bloody miracle for being on new skates and blades, AND just for being herself, she’s got a reputation to live up to, you know, one of being on her butt all the time.
Anyway, midway home after her practice, we stopped at a Tim Hortons for a snack, she gets out of the car and immediately wipes out on the pavement in her boots, there was a small patch of ice and she went flying .... :eeking: It was the most bizarre thing ever, I swear it happened in slow motion and I had no idea if it would turn into a crying pain tantrum, a hospital visit, or what ... But she looks at me, gets up and says: “Maybe I should throw out my winter boots and wear those new magic skates even when I’m not skating? I don’t fall in them!” .... uh, ok?
