Program Layout:
I absolutely love this first piece of music. It really does sound like a a cloud bouncing on a trampoline.
Twizzles in multidirections. Montreal has done wonders with their twizzles. Credit due. Level 3 for her, 4 for him. Hmpf. Katlyn gets no respect. 2.39 Perfectly synced by the way.
Curve Lift --> Stationary Lift - same curve lift position as RD; if they can get a bit more speed he could bring that to one foot. Level 3 for the curve, 4 for the StaLi. 1.98 goe
SL Lift - They got rid of the awkward entrance from the GP events. Much better. Level 4, .98 goe
NT Step Seq - shows off their good knees. Nicely musical with good spacing. Level 2 for her, 3 for him. 2.04 goe
Dance Spin - Level 4, 1.28 goe
ML Step Seq - mostly in hold; the choreo is particularly good here. It's not tossed off. Level 3, 2.26 goe
Chor Char Step Seq - with clear axis. But it's not balanced - Jean-Luc gets all the flashy moves. 2.32 goe
Chor Slide - well done and musical. 2.49 goe
Chor Twizzles - Throwing away points here. They could add more points with a better choreographic move. Going to be interesting to see how these choreographic moves are approached next season. 2.16 goe
Yes it's Montreal Mush to a large degree. But it should tell you just how good these two are that they can pull this off. Kaitlyn in particular just pours her soul into those final spread eagles. And to be fair, it does look like real effort was put into the choreography.
But Liebestraume was a better program. So was Romeo and Juliet. Honestly, I'd LOVE to see what Marina Z would do with these two.
Interesting that no one has noticed "In This Shirt" is a gay love song.
