I honestly thought this was overscored at IDF but they are the prime example in ID at the moment of reputation scoring. It's a good program. They're amazing skaters. Just amazing. But the fact that they are getting world records every single time they compete is indicative to me at least of just how far ID scoring is heading into indefensible waters.

And (sotto voce), I was kinda bored watching it. Yes, I probably need to go to Confession. But I'm being honest. And I have LOVED these two since Junior Days. But please skate to something other than another moody jazzy/pop lyrical song next year. Acid jazz. Children's nursery rhymes. A recitation of your local phone book. Please.

Score: 134.23 and another WR.

This isn’t me ganging up on the two Russian teams, I swear... but I’m just not seeing the justification for their sudden rise in the standings since last season. I don’t get it. :confused2:

I know - It seems like some serious politicking has gone on. I don't see the improvements, or how they are superior to so many other top teams.

Oops counter is broken!

I have to confess though...Gabby and Guillaume's dance doesn't do anything for me. My favourite dance of there's was the Shape of You which apparently gets much hate. There other dances are just kinda boring. What am I missing?!

This is the only one I've really felt any attachment to. The others have all felt boring to me... well, except for that SD about a "cool cat" in town that they did in I believe their first year in seniors, haha.

Disagree. Moonlight Sonata was stunning at Worlds live IMO. This was equally stunning but different

I haven't been lucky enough to see them live :sad21:. Maybe one day. I really loved Moonlight Sonata but it wasn't innovative (maybe not the word I am trying to convey though) enough for me. This program wasn't groundbreaking but it felt much more unique.

Gabby and Gui scored so high the tech box broke [emoji3]

On another note: Did I just... fall in love with P/C [emoji50][emoji51]

Haha no joke. I've been struggling with my residual V/M rivalry resentment towards P/C, but I can't deny that that performance shows why they really are miles better than the rest of the field. IDK about their exact point lead, which does seem excessive, but I can't say that them always having a healthy lead is unwarranted. I really liked that.

That was of course very well skated, and they are certainly the class of the field, but I am honestly so over these Montreal mush programs. It's all so 'same-y'. The only part that really stood out to me was the more rhythmic/stronger part near the end. I also don't find their connection very believable. I get the feeling that he's skating for himself, in a sense.

I hadn't thought about it before, but your last sentence makes sense to me. Their skating is so smooth, but I don't understand their connection between them. Doing a more romantic/mushy program was kind of strange because they don't really have a romantic connection. I wish they would stretch more. The judges won't let them lose, so go crazy.

I think I stopped breathing for most of Gabi and Gui's skating there. Not out of worry but because they just created such a still, private extended moment that breathing would have been out of place. They just keep. getting. better and I don't know how they do it.

And that opening stationary lift has been different every time they've done it this season, but I like this version best. The flow from position to position is quietly astonishing.

Y'all let's have a big round of applause for our PBP guy WeakAnkles, u da man :agree: :cheer: :thank:

Ya think?

When I saw the changes being made to levels and GOE BEFORE THE SEASON STARTED, I knew the shenanigans were only just beginning.

Well Russia is back on the podium. By hook and by crook. And I choose that phrase deliberately.

Only one event left! But it's midnight and I'm wiped so I will have to be a bad skating fan and watch everything tomorrow. I am so behind on this worlds! Competitions in Asia are the hardest to keep up with.

It’s official: This is my favourite Worlds now, even better than Boston 2016.
P&P fans, you probably know this, but Govardo’s Vincent is now ready for download on iTunes!!!

I loved their Mozart FD, but other than that, I liked last year SD the most as well. And I don't even like Ed Sheeran. So that tells something. But I get that their other dances doesn't do that to you. After watching half of the field doing the Montreal mush, their dances doesn't seem special, other than their skill.

Well I'm happy with it  You people had it easy during 4CC, it's time for us East Asians
