39. Nebelhorn-Trophy 2007

Lots of our favorite Senior GP skaters in every event. Americans listed are not in Sr. GP and not Jr either, I think.

Joe

One of the American teams, Lynn Kriengkrairut and Logan Guiletti-Schmitt, is on SeniorGP roster, Cup Of Russia.

This would have been the best event for me to go to...my favorite pair team, dance team and male skater, all at the same event, and lots of "new" (to me) European skaters and teams as well! Sigh....(wishing for money to fall from the sky in the next week)

Interesting to see Girard & Dougherty (Can) at Nebelhorn, I didn't even know they had teamed up!

compulsory dances at nebelhorn

Can anyone explain to me, how in the world, different compulsory dances
will be judged fairly and accurately against each other????
levels of difficulty vary so how is mastery of one dance comparable to
another???
confused....

The CD experiment was a joke. Four of the top 5 teams did the Argentine Tango, and all of the Tangoers finished in the top half.

NOT a fair way of starting a dance competition. The ISU had better not repeat this fiasco.

Seems that Carolina had a pretty good short program to be so early in the season!60.15, wonder if she did a 3x3?

What happened to Danielle Kahle? And Julia Sebestyen? And does anyone know why Myriam Leuenbreger (SUI) withdrew?

*sees Mens Results*
What happened to you, Tomas? He only got one deduction. Did he pop the rest of his jumps or something?

Except for Verner, all the other celeb skaters who did poorly in the SP, pulled themselves up quite a bit. It must have been a good event.

any notes

any notes?
Pairs? men? women?

what happened to S&S? It seems they had a brilliant SP but bombed terribly in LP. TEC 48 but no fall? Gosh.

Who's idea was this two seperate CD thing? What a joke. It eliminates the point of the CD completely. Hopefully this never happens in a major competition.

It is their first competition of the season, so I wouldn't be concerned. Clearly, their SP is more ready at this point. Besides, it was reported they were both skating with the flu.

(My guess would be he singled or doubled the triple-toe and she singled the double axel and who knows what else...but that's just my guess based on how they usually mess up.:P)

protocol

protocol is out.

Looks like jumps are still going to be S&S big hurdle this season. The new rule on triple+triple seq is taking a toll, I'm surprised that they are going to try another 3S this season...

As I expected, Meagan & Craig's lifts are hurting them badly. Two of their lifts were graded level I. The points difference is huge.

Good for Duhamel/Buntin, getting a silver they're first time out. I agree that the lifts will be a major problem, but hopefully they will get better with time. They are a new team, and they'll need more time to gel.
