Andrei M. seems to be on a tentative upwards trend. He is still very focussed on the tech, but once he feels comfortable with the jumps again, I'm sure he will deliver amazing performances. I'm particularly fond of his FS. The costume is gorgeous, did you notice the little dagger it has on the hip? And the thinker pose at the end!
Sasha and Dima skate in the longstanding tradition of the cacti Russian men. At the moment, they are leaving the Olympic door open. So to all the other hopeful Russian lads, get yourselves on a plane and go get these Olympic minimums (Erokhov, I'm looking at you)!

Ignatov and Dikidzhi on Panin’s, Danielian in SkAm, and maybe Erokhov in Russian Cup (they are still keeping lists for CoR sub Rosa, lol)! It’s going to be fun stuff.

I was also relieved to see Mozalev getting technical aspects together. It was a really good descision for him to go to Minsk before his Challenger. I hope to hear some sort of confirmation that they assured French admission for him with the vaccinations.

The quoted source actually does mean that, if this is the same Artur Dmitriev, he no longer represents Russia.

The entry is for the one of the "US Championship series", which is the qualifying series for US Nats. Skaters who represent a fed other than the US are not eligible to skate in the US Championships series.


So, if it is the same Artur, he may not be representing the US, but he cannot be representing any other ISU fed either.

I agree ... he would have a better chance in russia ... russia only dreams with a man that can land all the jumps in the same competition without pops or falls :shrug:

Maybe he knows he will have less chance at nationals etc, but will have more chance to go to various internationals that Russia wouldn't send him to?

🤣🤣 yup - better have a quad axel. (Or at least worked on PCS & posture over last couple years)

The only thing is that US seems more willing to send lower level US senior men to internationals than Russia.
Even sean rabbit got sent to a couple challenger series; whereas you only see the best Russians being sent to these internationals.

Well he did try it in a competition once, which I haven't seen anyone else do. And there was the 3 lutz -3 flip.

But still this is one heck of a late nation change! Does he have dual citizenship or something?

Probably ... he lived in the USA for 7 years when he was young ... and is the most logic explanation .. its not easy getting a new nationality in quick time... but if you already have one is easy to move

RusFed is making all the right decisions this season. So happy for Erokhov to finally skate on the international stage again, but also for Ilya and Gleb to get a chance to collect senior minimums. At this point I believe Misha K. is a lock for an Olympic spot barring some major upheaval, but the other two spots are wide open. Rus Nats will be just epic! And then we will have a post-Olympic Worlds and it isn't certain that all three men who made the Olympics will also want to skate there. Lol, can you imagine Ilya Yablokov sitting in the K&C at Worlds and pulling some ice cream out of nowhere? :LOL:
Also, I really can't wait to see Zhenya Semenenko and team mates skate at Cup of Austria. :jump:
